Wait, this is a thing? Like a person that comes to your house and does the lice removal for you? Genius!
Yes. It is both ridiculously expensive and the best thing ever.
The company I used was called "Lice Happens." I literally called them sobbing at 6 a.m. after a sleepless night of phantom itching, and they sent someone out same day.
I told my husband he could count it as my Christmas and birthday present that year if he wanted, but we had to have them come out. It's safe to say that after discovering the lice I was.... not myself.
How much did it cost? I'm not adding to the flames because it's all been said, but I am seriously sitting here itching.
You must be at the end of your rope or I know you would not consider this. ((air hugs))
Except that even when you're at the end of your rope, there's no excuse for endangering the health and well being of others. You don't get to make your horrible awful problem someone else's because YOU have an appointment. I mean...what? If she had an urgent need to go to the chiro, her husband needed to take off work and stay home with the kids.
That poor receptionist. Not only can she not do her normal work because she's saddled with two kids, she is probably contracting BUGS. I mean WHAT PLANET ARE WE ON RIGHT NOW??
wait, is the chiro's chair going to get lice on it now?
I'm glad that lice don't like Af American hair.
Yeah, it's spread through contact. So they'll get on it, and then hitch a ride with the next person. (If the chiro doesn't wipe it down afterward, which tbf, they should be doing.)
themoneytree, I want to say it was around $450. It was a year ago, so I don't remember exactly. She was there 4 hours, plus left the metal comb, a foam to use in follow up nit-picking, and a repellent spray.
My hair was super long at the time-- it took 2 hours for me alone.
ETA: It was worth every cent. I'm really not exaggerating much when I say I was on the verge of a mental break at the idea of bugs living on my head.

When I went they had a tissue layer like at the doctors office.
I haven't been this itchy since the time I went to a destination bachelorette at a shitty cabin and the bride called me a week later saying the MOH had gotten scabies from the bed.
If my honest to goodness bff in the whole world needed me I would let her lice kid play in my backyard. But I would have to believe that she was on her way to the ER or something.
Why not just shave her head? Walla- no more lice.
her lice kid is killing me for some reason
...let her lice kid play in the backyard has me ROLLING!
I would be pissed. My daughter got lice last year (I posted about it a lot.. ) and why did I post about it numerous times? because she kept getting it. meaning someone whose kid had lice kept sending them to school with it and it just kept coming back. she had it three times in one school year. Thats kinda shitty. I am sure that mom will not be speaking kindly of you. I am also shocked that you did this. You don't seem the type
You say there are just nits? Yeah I'm just gonna put this in here because EDUCATION on this shit is important. Especially when this isn't the first time you've had it!!
I guess I am not seeing the big deal because DD has been exposed in her class so many times before and managed never to get it. We just made sure her hair was put up and her stuff was frequently washed in HOT water.
My mom used to be one of thise freak out people about lice and she would get crazy and make me feel terrible about it. (I had it a lot growing up) and I guess this is why I am not as viligant and freaked out by this.
