These look really good! One of my friends just posted on her blog about making herself some "liquid gold" I have no clue what it is...it's some yellow/gold liquid drink, and I'm hesitant to ask what's in it...
These look way more yummy...I will save this and make these as I get closer - thanks for sharing!

Maybe tea? I have mothers milk tea I bought from a local place. Some friends rave about this tea, so I'm going to try it.
Bonita in terms of breastfeeding I have often heard of colustrum or breast milk referred to as "liquid gold"... is your friend pumping?
She could be, I don't really know She's actually being induced today so hopefully her baby will be here...This is her 3rd baby though, so she could still be pumping?

I have heard of people being told to pump some colostrum before babies are born. And colostrum is usually referred to as liquid gold so that us what it probably is.
FWIW, I didn't have to bust out the lactation cookies until well into my nursing relationship with DD. My supply took a dip about 4 or 5 months after I'd gone back to work and spent all those months pumping. When I was strictly nursing (not feeding bottles), I was able to keep up with DD's demand.

I was reading the other day that a lot of mom's had a similar experience with their supply after they went back to work. I'm definitely hopeful that I can keep it up once I go back (definitely will be a while from now, but I'm sure time will go fast...ha ha)!

Ditto. It was only when DD was around 8 months or so and eating solids and sleeping through the night that my supply started to plummet. But having the cookies ready to go can't hurt. They will make for a great BF snack at any point, all good stuff in there.
I found that eating oatmeal (way more oats than what's in the cookies per serving) and fenugreek worked well for me. I also was trying to not create more bad habits for myself like having cookies around. I though you had to keep it up for a while? Like take it every day for a week or a few weeks? I think I just committed myself to oatmeal for a good 6 months.
Is brewers yeast that strong of a ingredient that it helps? I never got into it last time. I mean, besides beer .
