Milk is offered with all meals if we're home. Daycare days she gets milk before we leave and then breakfast at daycare w/water. DH usually offers her 1/2 cup of milk when they get home from daycare. Then she gets a full cup with dinner, she usually drinks half, and we offer the 2nd half just before heading up to bed.
Water is always available in a sippy. E is a big water drinker.
Several people suggested not doing a sippy with milk upstairs like when she was nursing before bed as it would be one more habit to break later.
We got rid of bottle at 11 months and DD has been on all WCM since 12 months. She drinks A TON of milk. Pretty sure she'd drink it all day if I let her. She gets milk in a sippy at all 3 meals and then a small sippy of milk right before bed. The rest of the day she drinks water out of either sippies or a straw cup, which she just got the hang of.

At 13 months, she gets one 5oz bottle of WCM first thing still. Then she's offered water alllll day, pretty constantly. She doesn't really reach for it when she's thirsty, but drinks when offered usually. She'll hold her cup herself at mealtimes (and then promptly throws it instead of sitting it back down, lol). Usually she gets milk at mealtimes, but sometimes it's water. After her afternoon nap, I fill a sippy with 5oz WCM which she drinks while we read books. She probably gets 15oz of liquid per day.
Right now we're doing milk at most meals and snacks, water on the go or just when he's goofing around. If he doesn't drink much milk we stash it in the fridge for the next snack or just offer it again and again for a while.
