Me but I'm about to go to sleep. Went to dinner with the in-laws and got home and steam mopped the kitchen since the tater fell asleep on the way home. I was just throwing stuff into my Ann Taylor shopping cart after reading the post below about 40% on sale items but sadly realized that it was only yesterday. Oh well. I'm sure they'll do another sale soon and it's not like I need any more clothes.
Mav, not being able to drink more makes me grumpy too.
I'm up, but I'm on the west coast. My weekend starts tomorrow afternoon and I am in a bad mood just thinking about going to work one last time this week.

I am! I'm thinking of ordering some concert tickets and hoping today's storms are over. One tree is enough for a year. I wanted to swim tonight, but the storm killed the light in the pool with the tree and I like to see if I'm swimming with animals.
Ditzdi--I really liked your OOTD today. Sorry about the AT sale being over, boo.
Akuzreve--I'm a night owl too.
Thanks! And I'm neither a night owl or morning person. I'm always a sleepy person. Speaking of sleep, I'm off to bed. I'm going to attempt to wake up at 6 for a morning run. So I'll more than likely be a crabby bitch tomorrow.
Just got back from the funeral a couple if hours ago and am doing some laundry.
S/O forgetting things, I left my phone charger in bumblefuck, WI today. So annoyed with myself, especially since my phone has the crappiest battery life. I called the hotel and they're gonna send it to me, but I'm considering going and buying one tomorrow anyways, since who knows when I'll actually get the damn thing!

How was everything today?
It was pretty rough! Yesterday was the wake and I managed to keep myself together, probably because H managed to as well. Today, not so much, ha, but we got through it. My heart was really breaking for him, because they really were so close, and pretty much EVERYONE that talked to us had to mention that. There was a fascinating mix of joy and sorrow. My favorite was H's grandpa's sister, who's a nun. She was the happiest person there, for sure!
Also, FTR, I was totally appropriately dressed. There were TONS of people there in light/bright colors and summery dresses galore, so I didn't feel out of place at all or like people thought I was a hussy or anything.
Sorry Bimbi, glad it went ok though, as painful as it must've been.
FCG that sucks about the storm knocking stuff out! It wasn't too bad here, but we did end up with empty diaper boxes in our yard, flying over from a random neighbor's house/garbage. Super annoying to clean up. We had a couple really small branches fall from our tree from the wind, but nothing major. It does feel good to have it cool down a bit, and we need the rain for sure.

I'm sorry Bimbi. It does get hard and weird at times. We go through the joy and sorrow thing a lot in my family. I was probably the closest grandkid to my Grandmother when we lost her and got the same comments. It's a tough place emotionally.

We get the storms constantly. We're right in the middle of Tornado Alley. I really want out of here between the storms and flooding. The pool light thing was kind of funny since I got ready to get in last night after dark and didn't check it first. I turned it on and it flickered before dying. I still got in, but it looks like a horror movie set at night with the corn and open field. I really don't like all the animals back there. We have blind crayfish, salamanders, bullfrogs, a couple families of deer, skunks, a family of foxes, cats, dogs, coyotes, rabbits, possums, racoons, and those are just the ones I've seen in our yard. Wellies and hiking boots are not optional.
MFP sounds cool. Is it free? Are you guys in your own MFP group?
FCG, you sound like you live in a zoo. That would freak me the fuck out. Sometimes I see a bunny in the yard and there's a phantom dog that shits on our lawn. I call him the turdler.
Close! We border a National Forest on one side and a State one on the other. We had a domesticated family of bunnies for 2 years that would sit on out patio in a line and watch us eat when we grilled. You have to know it totally freaks me the fuck out! DH took over pool cleaning after the 3rd frog jumped out of the skimmer at me. I can't stand the frogs. I used to joke that I was like the wife in that ancient show Green Acres. Part of us not moving yet is that we can't agree on a city loft or a lake house. Guess who wants the loft? Lol!

I would love that, but he would probably hate NYC. You should have seen the one we had! It was 1500 sq ft, 16 almost floor to ceiling window, water views on two sides (with whitewater rafting/kayaking on weekends), exposed brick and pipes, and a cop as a next door neighbor in a 100 year old factory building. It was walking distance fron 3 museums, the bars, great restaurants, and the football shuttle. We had a 12 foot Christmas tree and our neighbors had 12-20 foot trees.

It seriously rocked! St. Pat's and December were the best. St. Pat's is a crazy party where it was and we were on the free shuttle line for pub crawls. December was great since we were across from a place that hosted all the major Christmas parties and the big places did fireworks on the water. We could watche them on the couch next to the Christmas tree. We always did takeout and movies on weekends since we could see the fireworks.
