I hate it when I buy a polish and it is nothing like what you see sitting in the bottle. That *always happens with Essie.
Well, yesterday I bought Sally Hansen Smooth Perfect ColorCare in Sea which is a mint green. It came out silver with a hint of grey. Oh, and the chipping is awful and I knew it likely would be but the color difference is so huge that it was a waste of money.
Does anyone else have those problems with Essie, Sally or any other brand I should avoid?

I avoid drugstore brands since I'm yet to find one that works for me. I haven't had the problem with Essie, but I am finding that most of their colors seem to be the same as other colors that they've already released. Zoya does this too. I like Nailtiques polishes, but those need to be bought in store since they tend to not match the colors swatches online according to reviews.
Are you using a good top coat and base coat? That can help with chipping. I like Butter London for a base coat since it seems like Orly Bonder may have changed the formula. I also like Seche Vite as a top coat. Poshe did not work for me at all.
