It wasn't pretty, but I made it. FL and TX ladies feel free to tell me to quit my whining if I talk about humidity again. 70 something degrees and 94% humidity at 7:30 am, holy shit that was a miserable run.
pixy0stix In a cruel twist of fate my phone was disabled for the last 7 miles. Precisely when those voices were loudest. I think I said "this is bullshit out loud".
eta - @vtcupcake G22sassystace how did your runs go?
Great job! My run is actually tomorrow and I will channel you to finish. Humidity definitely makes a huge difference--so happy our races are in October!

I have said those words many times when working out.
My run was awesome! By far the best run I've had in training for this marathon. AND it poured rain the entire 17 miles. I looked like a drowned rat by mile 3. lol
But I kicked butt out there. I hit 13.1 in 2:03....that's 3 minutes faster that my current half PR. I don't care if it was only a training run, the garmin doesn't lie! I feel really good about maybe even shaving more time off my marathon PR in a few weeks. Maybe, if everything goes just right
But holy chafing....ow ow ow. I didn't know I had any til I got in the shower. Hopefully they heal up before my 20miler next week.
I'm going to sneak this AW in here. Because I ran my long run a day late last week, and a day early this week. I'd run a total of 30 miles between Sunday and Wednesday, so I feel much better about this run considering my very tired legs.
Ok here's where I fess up that I've never done a long run with other people. I'm a total anti-social runner. I like doing things on my time at my own pace.
This is me too.
I just joined a training group for an upcoming marathon. I like it for the accountability, but omg, I really don't like running with other people. Luckily last week I was able to run by myself pretty much the entire time as I was in between 2 pacing groups. I hope this week is the same way. I don't want to talk to anyone when I run...just want to be left in silence
