Okay, I have definitely eaten stuff over 72 hours old, but that is a good rule to follow just to make sure leftovers get consumed, let alone food safety.
I had written off this chicken a few days ago. I had prepped it planning to bake it in a casserole soon after, actually that same night but I didn't have the rest of the ingredients.
1.5 week old chicken is a "hell no," doesn't matter how long it was in the fridge before cooking. It could have been cooked the day it was killed and it still wouldn't keep for 1.5 weeks.
