I turned off my phone when I got into the office this morning and tried to turn it on to take an OOTD pic and the damn thing won't turn on.
I charged it over night, so it should have full battery. I've only had it 10 days and I'm nervous that the rain yesterday maybe damaged it; although I had it in my purse in this intense case (minus belt clip).
Even if it's off you can try pressing both the power button and home button at the same time and hold and see if anything shows up on screen. For some reason this worked for me on my old 3GS phone when I thought I had broken it somehow.
Otherwise go to the store and definitely don't say anything about water or rain!
I had the same problem a while back, I was in a panic with NO phone.... went to the Apple store and within ONE SECOND, he pressed the home button and on/off button and it came right on. HA. I felt like an idiot!

If you do ever have any piece of electronics get wet, take some rice and cover whatever it is in rice and seal it in an air tight container for 24-48 hours. The rice draws the water out and it usually fixes the problem. Our garage door opener fell out of my car and was found floating in the lawn after the lawn guy mowed. I used this trick and it works fine. I've had friends do it with all brands of phones. Glad you got it working!

Thanks! I've helped a friend do this with her Macbook and I've had to do it to a camera; works wonders! H still doesn't know I spilled a drink on his camera. Whoops ;D

Thanks for future info Kare!
Mine found the garage door opener on the driveway after the lawn mower kicked it up. Whoops! I was hoping to find it since I'm the one that loses it all the time. I'm amazed the thing still works.
