The most recent research has shown this to be false over and over again. I'm at work so I don't have time to jump down the rabbit hole, but if you are ever interested in W30, the book ISWF goes over it in detail with numerous citations.
And it very well may be that beans are not a problem for you at all. And you may choose to eat them for the rest of your life. But you'll never know if they're a problem or not unless you remove and reintroduce.
