There are classes available when I'll be 30w or 37.5w. I am worried about waiting too long because I have some stuff going on that makes me more likely to go into labor early, but I don't want to do 30w if I'm going to forget everything.
H thinks if I go into labor early I will not need the techniques as much and the midwives/hospital would help us out - I guess because the baby would be smaller??? I think he's crazy.
Another choice would be to do it somewhere in the middle but H can't make any of those classes so it'd be all on me. WWYD?
I would do it at 30 weeks. They'll probably teach you exercises you can do before the birth to open up your pelvis, relieve back pain, etc. (at least my class did), so that part is nice to know a little while before birth. Plus I would be really anxious waiting so long to take it, especially if you have a higher-than-average chance of early labor.
My hospital recommends you take a labor class sometime in your 7th month...so I'd pick 30 weeks. I was 30 weeks at mine and feel like I still remember everything fairly well (though none of it matters anyway, since I'm a scheduled csection now!)

30 weeks. I gave birth at 38 weeks so 37.5 would have been cutting it close. Also you want time to practice and they do give you info on how to ease third tri aches and pains.
The hospital where I'm delivering recommends being done with classes a month before your due date. We're starting when I'm 30 weeks and will finish at 35 weeks.
I will be starting them at 34 weeks and finishing them at 37 weeks. They told me this was too late, but I had no other option due to out of town work obligations.
