I am curious as to why the switch to a private board. It is very clear they lurk here b/c when they've been mentioned, they pop up immediately. It always makes me laugh.

The switch to the private board happened the day that The Nest melted down.  And we weren't sure we would stick with pro-boards for the long haul and at that point, all 50ish of us knew real details and info. about one another and it was just easier to keep it on FB.

It wasn't intentional. We started it when the nest went down and then just kept posting there more than here gradually.

The site? It's not a recap of our lives. It's random stuff. Read it. Don't read it, but don't get mad at me for not understanding you.

I've already explained the private board. It's because we're friends that know each other's real names and meet up frequently and it was just easier to keep talking about our lives and our husbands and our kids there where we didn't have to worry about random internet weirdos. It was never intentional to leave. It just gradually happened.

and the "Secret Board" is a closed/private FB group. Hence why only people whose real names were already known made the jump. There's no anonymity on FB.

To be honest, I don't know that many of them still lurk regularly. I still post pretty regularly, and I think there are a few others that lurk and pass along anything interesting, but most of them have gone on with their lives (until something dramatic occurs naturally). Nobody can resist those moments.

Hezzerlah's three-legged dog actually grew another leg. She was contacted by a group of researchers working with stem cells and organoids. A paper will be published in several months in Science, it's really crazy. The bad news is that the kids now think that they can just cut their fingers off when having knife fights in the kitchen and people will just help them grow new ones.

Cali has triplets, two of them are identical twin girls and the third is a boy. The worst part about it is that she's not able to fit them all in the cart when she goes shopping. Her store has a special double cart that they offered her, but she hates that one kid has to just mingle with the groceries. 

Tasty eats meat now.

Fenton did get remarried. The craziest part is that after all her bitching about feminism and not getting married again she had a gigantic wedding and her dad even walked her down the aisle. She didn't invite anyone because she was worried she'd be judged for doing a 180. There were lots of hurt feelings.

Christin is divorced. And pregnant. She *thinks* the second kid is her ex-husband's, but she's not sure. 

Mod went full on San Francisco and opened an artisinal toast restaurant. Fucking hipster.

Jens has four cats now and is considering getting a bunny. She also got really into Nickelback, which is kind of painful to read about.

We tossed the idea around last year. In the end, it was determined we've gotten too lazy in our old age.
