DS had his 6 month well visit today and while we were there we discovered he had a fever (101). It's most likely from a lingering ear infection.
Assuming he has no fever tonight and tomorrow morning, would you send him to daycare tomorrow? Am I "that mom" if I do?
ETA: In case it seems silly, I'm asking because 101 is when they send kids home and require 24 hours home fever free. Tomorrow morning would be less than 24 hours.
He was diagnosed with a double infection two weeks ago. Did a round of antibiotics and he was better up until Sunday night when he became a snot bucket again.
But so far he hasn't ever shown signs that his ears were bothering him either time. Just being fussy at night. He didn't have a fever this morning when I left for work. DH brought him to the pedi today for the visit, so I didn't know he was feverish until they took his temp and checked his ears to confirm the infection.

If his ears were red at the appointment & the pedi prescribed more antibiotics for the ear infection I would send him. Assuming he's not completely miserable. If he is miserable I would stay home with him.
My daycare allows kids to return as long as it's a confirmed ear infection (i.e. not something contagious.)
If no fever, I'd definitely send. With a fever, I'd probably still try to send, but I'd make sure to tell the daycare about her (or his, in your case) ears.

Based on what you've said, and if there is no fever I would; however, if he is acting "off," (if he had shots), I wouldn't. I think the rule is there partly because of contagion and partly because sick kids can't really participate (as much as a 6 month old would, lol) and can be fussier than normal. That doesn't seem to be the case for your DS.
If he was placed on antibiotics and has no fever tomorrow morning, for sure I would send him. Not contagious and probably will be feeling a heck of a lot better.
