Hope everything is ok blushing! Have they talked induction at all?
I'm LOLing at my mom. I told her I was packing my hospital bag and feeling like I was forgetting something. Her advice? Film for the camera and cash to pay for the TV in the hospital room. Apparently she thinks I'm going back in time to give birth in the 80s like she did.
Not talked induction, and I am not hopeful that they will unless it is absolutely necessary. I had a severe haemorrhage with DS and your risk of haemorrhage increases with induction. I will take a sweep if they offer it though.
Miralax. My Dr recommended it and said it's safe to take daily. It takes a couple days to kick in so I usually take it for 3-4 days and then stop once I start going. I have to do it like every other week. I should just take it daily but I forget. I was trying Collace but it did nothing. And it's a powder so I mix it with juice and don't taste it at all.
Oooo thank you! I will get some today. My first appt isn't until next week and I feel dumb calling about this.
Yay!! So glad to hear! How do they run? Old Navy is tricky because they typically (for me) run so big. I bought 8s because my non-preg Old Navy pants are an 8, but at most stores, I'm a solid 10.
I bought my normal size and they're good.
I will also second the miralax, I've been taking colace every night but if that doesn't do it I take the miralax
My friend wants to take me maternity shopping this weekend. I'm not really at that point where I need them yet. Surprisingly my pants and shorts still fit (though definitely a bit more snug than before). Some of my skirts have been retired because they just feel a little too tight for comfort. I most wear dresses though and those have been fine.
She's really eager to go though, so I'm going to go with her, I doubt I'll buy anything just yet though. She keeps telling me to get jeans now since they'll grow with me. I usually love clothes shopping, but I don't feel like dropping tons of cash on such temporary clothing.
Question for all of you - have any of you bought premium/designer maternity jeans? Do you find those run smaller or same as the regular sizes?

Ugh my coworker is trying to make me feel bad about wanting to find out the sex and seems to think not finding out is the best thing ever. I personally don't care what other people do but for us, we want to find out. It's our kid, not hers. Why are people so damn opinionated when it comes to other people's fetuses?
I have my 28 week appointment this afternoon. I'm doing my GD test, so I get to drink that delicious orange drink in about 45 minutes. Not so excited about that, but fingers crossed that I pass!
TMI, but I had a minor freakout this morning that I was leaking amniotic fluid, but haven't had anything since, so I'm pretty sure I just peed myself a little this morning. Awesome. I'll probably mention it to my OB this afternoon, just in case, but I think I'm fine. I guess it's time to start wearing panty liners every day.
Had an appointment today that went well! We heard the heartbeat for the first time (12w5d), love that! Also, despite feeling like I've gained 20 lbs, I'm only up 4 for the entire first trimester, which I'm happy with.
This is the weirdest feeling, but I feel like the baby is trying to claw his way out.
My friend's babysitter was just telling me a story this weekend that she had the same feeling with her daughter. When her daughter was born the nurse commented on how long her fingernails were. Maybe your little boy has some super long nails already...
So excited for you!!! Cannot believe how close you are to meeting your son!
Had my work shower. It turned out great and they invited girls from other depts too. They got me pretty much every small item on my registry so I got a ton of stuff. One girl made me 2 blankets and I started crying. Damn hormones.
**TMI alert** I'm majorly constipated and not feeling well at all. The consistency is not the problem, it's the lack of frequency, so I'm not sure if stool softeners will help me. I'm already pretty good w/ eating lots of fiber, walking, and water. Is there anything else I can do? Per Google, I shouldn't be taking stimulant laxatives.
Maternity clothes - I just ordered this and these and my hopes are totally up that they'll be cute.
Prunes.
Or a tablespoon of olive oil or coconut oil. It will help ummmm... slick up the track so that things will move better and more frequently.
