homemade PSL - anyone tried it?

We're still at least 2-4 weeks out here from getting PSL and I have the thirst for one.  

Before I spend £7.50 on a bottle of pumpkin pie spice, has anyone actually tried to make a PSL at home? 

The recipes I'm finding get very mixed reviews. Any good recipes that you've tried?

I tried to want a PSL yesterday but it was 90 degrees when I left work. I'm giving it another week.

Its that easy if you are buying the syrup. I know there are ways to make the syrup yourself but do I am not that organized.

(but also yes, the Torani syrup is the best brand IMO and that's all they add at Starbucks for PSL - oh except I've heard some people say they mix in vanilla or something else too at other coffee shops)

Almost all the US stores had an early unlock of PSL's on Tuesday. It doesn't officially launch until 9/2. I'm trying REALLY hard not to buy one but it's cooling down (below 70 tomorrow I think) so maybe tomorrow.

I'm going to Whole Foods this weekend to see if they have pumpkin syrup in store, and if not then I'm just going to order a bottle of normal pumpkin syrup.
