if they wanted to torture them? epilate their whole bodies and call it beautification
my sister and I got this epilator (tinyurl.com/6v7hhp3) and tried it out last night. I have to say, it's pretty awesome. much less mess, cheaper over the long haul and with the results of waxing (and technically better because it can get those shorter hairs - it actually works better on short hairs, so you can do it sooner!).
I think for these first few times I'm glad we are doing it on each other because it's definitely not pain free, however, I really don't think it's *that* bad. Plus, you can maintain it all the time as opposed to having to wait to grow out all the hair. Anyway, it's getting a from me!
Would you use it on your face? I have some serious dark/thick/stubborn/grows back super fast hair on my chin and neck (it's totes grody).
haven't tried it yet, but plan to! It has a mini attachment and two speeds (the lower one for face etc). I have some upper lip hair that I like to get rid of and I know my mom has some on her face she's like to get rid of too. I can let you know how it goes when I build up the courage to do it
I think if you're the type of person to get waxed/threaded/pluck/etc, then this is really not too bad and you're saving money. If you've never done any of those, this might not be the way to start out! I would suggest to try waxing first, and then when you get addicted, to do this.
also, I think it's pretty funny that people bother to write "it was painful" in the reviews... well duh! lol
we just did our lower legs and knees (gah! the knees! why that hurts to much I have no idea).
I now did it one night ago and my legs are still pretty smooth. The part that's better than waxing is, the second I start to feel any hair, I can just use it again (even if there are like 6 hairs, which would not be worth waxing).
next up, we're going to do pits, but we learned the hard way that it's better when the hair is short and we'd both grown out our pits to waxing length, so I think we're going to shave and wait again.
