Do you know what I mean? The teeny ones that appear in thin fabrics? All my ATL shirts get these and it is so annoying. They only get 5 or 6 wears. One in particular I bought as an "outfit" with pants and I am pissed that it is essentially unwearable after a season. Is there any way these can be repaired at all? I know it won't be perfect but lots of them are tees I only wear to the park or whatever but I would rather see a repair than a hole!!
I get these too. That's why I buy cheap shirts. Heh.
Also, I keep reading the OP as a lyric from a Something Corporate song:
Little minds let little games burn big old dreams with little flames, and you don’t think I understand. Little holes in parachutes won’t leave you falling, if they do, it’s because you want to land.

No suggestions on repairing. My 2 cause ideas are seatbelt and washing machine. Put them in a lingerie bag. IDK put a fleece/cloth diaper between you and seatbelt?

The ones I get I'm pretty sure are from either tugging my shirt down over my ass or tucking it in.
I don't know about repairs, but I had a problem with this for awhile. I found a tiny catch in my dryer that was causing it. I think it was a screw that was a little loose or slightly crooked. You might want to carefully check your washer and dryer for something similar.
H was using one of those spiky dryer balls for a while, and I put the kibosh on it when I noticed holes in a few shirts. I put my thin shirts in a mesh delicates bag and dry them on a rack now.
Sometimes if this happens in thin sweaters will get a snippet of hemming tape and iron it on the wrong side of the fabric. Stops the hole from growing and if small enough, the hole closes up. Not sure if it would show on a super thin tee but might work.
This drives me crazy. The only shirts that haven't done this to me are JCrew perfect tees. (But mine are all six plus years old so things could have changed)
Mine are always in the same spot so I knew it wasn't washer or dryer related. I came to the conclusion it was my seatbelt rubbing on that pointy piece of Jean that sticks out on your button/snap.
I don't really think those tiny holes can be repaired.
I've read that they're caused by rubbing up against your desk or the counter top while cooking. Mine definitely come from the latter. So I try to remember to wear an apron.

I have this problem and the holes are in the same spot on every shirt. It's not moths or washing - I am pretty sure it's from the thin shirt rubbing against the zipper on my jeans or rubbing between my jeans and the seatbelt.
For a while I untucked my shirt while I drove and wore a super thin camisole and didn't get the holes.
Also, a salesgirl at Nordstrom told me it's a common problem because the cotton used in shirts is a lot thinner now? I don't know how true that is but this is certainly annoying!
How timely! The shirt I wore today had a tiny hole in it that I didn't notice until I was at work.
I'm pretty sure mine was due to those flat moth bug things because I don't wear belts, it's too high for a zipper, and my cat leaves snags not holes in my clothes.
Eta: I just googled my "flat moth bug thing" and it's a Casebearing Clothes Moth
