Today, when I stand up and walk around I am getting pelvic pain. Not really around my pelvic bones or anything, more like lower abdominal pain. I am working, so trying to just sit and drink water. When I'm sitting, I'm fine. I am not having contractions from what I can tell.
Do you think maybe he just settled into a painful area for me or something? Is it okay to just give it a while and see if it improves by the afternoon? Haven't really experienced this before. I'm 26 weeks.
To me it sounds like he's just positioned awkwardly. DS got that way pretty fast too. He also head buts me which feels NOT AWESOME all up in my butt and sacrum area. Standing up at first always blows, but gets better as a walk and he adjusts his position. What sucks is the constant changing of position from sitting to standing since I guess he needs to sit differently for each?
Is it stretching? I feel my stretching in my lower stomach and it's when I stand or walk that it feels like something is being pulled. It lasts a day or two and then goes away for awhile. I just make sure when I go home to lay on my side.
I have that pain all the time now, but I'm 36 weeks so its probably expected lol.
I would give it some time. If it persists I'd maybe bring it up or call, but if it isn't severe, just annoying and only when standing/walking, and you still feel baby moving and stuff I would probably just deal. But I'm kind of non-alarmist.
It could be stretching or bad position, not really sure. He's measuring really big so I wouldn't be surprised if he's just starting third trimester hijinx a bit early. It isn't horrible and I can deal with it, so I am going to wait and call if it gets worse or doesn't go away. He's still squirming away in there, so that's comforting.
I don't know if it's the same thing, but when I walk around for a long time it feels like what I can best describe as someone pushing a bowling ball into my lower abdomen, but from the inside out. It's like a heavy, uncomfortable feeling. Sometimes I have sharp pains, but I've just kind of brushed them off as stretching or the baby being in a strange position.
My doctor told me to call about anything even if I think it's nothing, just for peace of mind. Don't feel funny about calling.
I started to get lower pain right up front and middle and thought maybe I was getting a UTI. It hurt most when getting up or being on my feet for a while. I asked my DR. and he said it was PSD and normal as my hips were starting to spread. It could be that. Hope things are OK.
