At least she doesn't have a lot of friends? I know it is totally accidental as she asks me how to view my pictures and videos all the time (she sucks at FB and the internet in general). But she just shared a video of Alex, ugh.

My mom just joined FB and she comments on EVERYTHING I post!! I want to say something but she is super sensitive. One time I sort of mentioned it and she said "Well at least I say something! Your dad doesn't even like any of them!" LOL
My MIL likes and comments on everything I post, and then shares every picture with one or both of us, regardless of who posted it. It's always annoyed me but I've just let it go. Once the baby gets here, we may need to have a talk.
Also I'm glad to hear about these privacy setting options. Need to look into that ASAP!

With parents on the internet there must be this internal thing that they feel we need validation from them RIGHT AWAY AND WITH COMMENTS AND LIKES. I could post the most offensive thing and my mom would still like it. And my MIL.
We call MIL thread kill. H rarely posts on FB, but if he like posts and interesting article she will ask a total derp question that she could have easily googled and kills any sort of chance at a conversation.
Also my MIL once scolded one of H's friends for calling him a nickname he has had since grade school. It isn't even a mean name. They are in their 30s!
LOL, clearly I have a lot to say about parents on FB.
This is why my parents and my ILs are all "acquaintances" and I post 90% of stuff on FB to "friends, but not acquaintances."
And you can makes your settings such that only your mutual friends can see photos and vidoes that have been shared. I think its in your settings in photos and videos-you change "who can see this" to "only my friends." Then even if it's shared, still only people who are also your friends can see it.
