Does anyone have a tool that helps make easy up-dos? My hair is getting pretty long and I am off to a wedding this weekend. I got the big "no" to my plastic clips that I use for my updos when I was interviewing the other week so I figured it's probably not wedding appropriate, either.

I love my spin pins!
I also have a bun form (AKA the non-MM way to do a sock bun...I needed one close to my hair color because it's so thin and white socks showed through); I usually end up getting DH to help do the final arranging/pinning, but it makes a beautiful big bun that stays all day.
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!
I use spin pins and love them. I still need bobby pins to tuck in a few pieces here and there, but not nearly as many as I would need otherwise. If I need a bun to be super secure, I use two and cross them over each other (even though the instructions say not to cross them). I'll also put a bobby pin at each end of it to kind of tack it down. It makes the updo practically bulletproof.
I also have a bun form, but don't like my hair in the kind of bun with a hole in the middle, for lack of a better term. With the spin pin I can form it into whatever shape I want and spin those babies in there to lock it down.
If you have a Dollar Tree near you, look there first. I've bought Spin Pins there before, thanks to a tip from this board.

I have this too- DH got it for me for Christmas lol. I love it to make big sock buns. My hair is a bit longer than shoulder length and I think it would work even better with longer hair.
