Painting - probably the kitchen a little bit (I'm adding an "accent wall" because I feel like the color in there is too light), possibly also the MB, definitely some touchup on a wall in my office. Also, I'm hoping to knock out a couple half-finished projects that have been pending for WAY too long.
Dropping my little sister off at boarding school and then heading to the shore for the weekend. We were laughing because her first year we all went and helped her move in and stayed a few hours. Now that she's a junior I'm like, "tuck and roll, kid".
We've got some great dinner reservations tomorrow and Sunday and we'll probably come back on Monday.
On the way home we need to stop by Lowes. We decided to install laminate throughout the second floor and are going to start with the hallway. The stuff is supposed to arrive by then.
Painting the front door (SW Naval) and MH is going to continue our battle with removing the backyard ivy. We used roundup on it a month ago. It's all dry and dead now maybe it will be easier to deal with. That's a big maybe. Ivy is the devil.
I'm going to try to do some cleaning, organizing, and purging this weekend. Going to a party at my uncle's for a little while to see my cousin for the 1st time in several years. Having breakfast one morning with my dad and otherwise trying to have a calm weekend, lol

Still trying to finish the dinning room. I hope to her a second coat of paint on. Put together the cabinet I just bought and finish the art work I started.
I told DH I'm cleaning the garage. Complete with throwing crap out, sweeping, etc. All the yard tools we use never make it back to their "home" and end up on the side ledge.

I'm soooo excited I actually get all three days of the holiday weekend off. I don't remember the last time this happened. We hope to hang a shelf in the garage to organize our paints and DH wants to keep working on our buffer he's restaining. I'm positive there's going to be lots of college football watching too. Plus we get to hang out with Emma. She's doing soo good. She's already trying to walk and walks for little bits before falling. She's also eating and drinking by herself. Amazing progress for only a week past her stroke.
We're both off today and we are cleaning/organizing our disgusting house. (Check: H is in the garage with DD. I am on the laptop on the other end of the house.)
I think we'll hit the lake and the drive-in at some point this weekend, but no big plans. Which is great, because we have been out of town or had guests for pretty much all of July and August.
The plan is to get the treadclimber out of storage and set it up in the studio for now. We have planned to get it out two other weekends and failed, but DH finally understands that I really meant it when I asked him if we could bring it over, and promised we would get it here, whatever it takes.
We have a bit of work to do before the fence guys come...a little more leveling along the courtyard fence line and the area for the spa needs clearing...luckily, it isn't big, the soil is soft, and it is shady, so it shouldn't be too bad.
The rest of the weekend will be spent indoors, avoiding the heat. ;p
Continuing to work on the house (working on kitchen cabinet doors and lots of cleaning) and homework. Plus, our new fancy mattress will be delivered tonight!
I was at the beach this morning and am now getting ready to do some small projects (patch some broken concrete, add top soil to some holes in the yard...you know, fun stuff like that!).
Tomorrow morning I'm hoping to get to beach for a bit again and then tomorrow night is dinner with friends. In between will likely be wiping down everything in the kitchen assuming the slider is fully complete by then. House is made of some sort of composite cinder block and created a TON of dust that is everywhere.
Sunday it is supposed to be overcast so I will use that day to repaint kitchen walls and ceiling and trim on new slider door. I am doing the same color so it's just a fresh coat. And get my new living room curtains up!
Monday, will be the sad day of preparing to go back to work after a week off by food shopping, laundry, prepping some food for the week.
Tomorrow we're checking out a local architectural/historical salvage warehouse looking for light fixtures. Supposedly this place is enormous and amazing according to friends who have been, so I'm pretty pumped.

We have so much to do... Thank goodness for the long weekend: - Finish wiring living room lights - Add duct junction and additional register in the master bedroom - Mastic exposes duct joints, because we can for once. - Finish removing the wall by the stairs - Move a shit-ton more furniture (two bedrooms to empty still) - Pull a bunch more carpet, baseboards, etc. - Prep for painting - Paint (2.5 bedrooms + 1 long hall) - Run a few more audio cables - Help my grandma move on Monday afternoon
That leaves for next weekend (when we should have my parents help/expertise again): - Building the new stair stringer to widen the stairs. - Repairing the cantilevered balcony. - Figure out the bannister if we haven't already. - Finish anything from this weekend's list
We leave on a trip the weekend after that, and the new hardwood floors are supposed to get sanded/finished while we are gone. Ideally, he'll start installing them before we leave. (My mom will oversee the work.)
I kind of wish we were going camping instead... But it's gonna be awesome when these rennovations are done.
I need to paint my foyer, living room, kitchen, and stairway wall to the second floor. Yay for open floor plans. I am such a spaz that I have to have continuous color . The previous owners had painted this open plan 4 different colors. A grey next to a mustard that ran into a cream that flowed into a primer white. Next to the lime green dining room. I'm color matching the Behr Graceful Grey that's currently in the kitchen for the rest of the spaces. The dining room will be getting a separate color because it is actually its own room. Oh and the small powder room will be a different color as well. I'm pretty much over it all already since I have painted our Master Bedroom, my two kids rooms and the entire first floor ceiling in the past 3 weeks.
