Popping in because I have a good friend from HS having a baby soon and wanted to do some type of meal delivery thing for them as a gift. Have any of you used one in the NJ area? I haven't even used one of these myself, but a friend says she likes to do it as a gift for friends she doesn't live near and it sounded like a nice idea. I'm hoping it would be the kind where you can just order one whenever you wanted (and I could buy them one or two, two-person meals, for example) vs. a subscription. Thanks!

I lived in Princeton for years but never did a meal delivery... I guess I'd just do a gift certificate somewhere that has delivery or even take-out. Sorry not to be more helpful.

yeah, I guess if someone has recs for a good restaurant that does delivery I could do that too

I mean, grub hub or eat 24 will deliver from any Princeton restaurant downtown. That might be the best option. There's also a pf changs, macaroni grill, tgi Fridays and eat at joes that do take out (special parking slit and pick up window)

oh those are cool! although I don't see anything about a GC anywhere on the website I might email and ask though if there's a way to do it. thanks!
I lived in Princeton, but never had a meal delivered (well, I mean, other than pizza). You could try calling Wegman's to see if they'll deliver some of their pre-made food. Most of what they make is pretty yummy.
Bon Apetit is a fancy grocery that makes delicious sandwiches. They could also put together a gift basket of nice spreads, cheese, etc. But I'm not sure if they do delivery.
D'Angelo is also a very nice small grocer that specializes in Italian foods; I bet they would deliver.
