Telluride with kids in the summer

Any recommendations for things to do with kids in Telluride during a vacation in June/July next summer? One will be 5 and the other almost 2.  I was thinking one day a fairly easy hike, like maybe an hour long, with good views. Anyone familiar enough with the area to recommend a specific trail? I was also thinking maybe horseback riding one day? Any other suggestions? A quick google search has something about a nature museum at the top of the gondola. Not sure what else might be fun there for families.
