I'm here! I was here earlier after work and then got derailed on pinterest since it was so slow. I don't even want to think about how many glasses of Bota box wine I've had...
If you are still here post something odd/interesting/controversial about yourself (or something that has happened to you lately).
Plus also I'm interested in hearing about your decision to go to nursing school. I was reading responses to some post the other night about applying and someone said not to say that you want to help people. LOL. I am currently a SAHM who has thought about nursing school, but that post made me realize I couldn't express why I wanted to do it without saying the thing about helping people. Haha! So maybe it isn't for me? And science and math (beyond algebra) were never my thing. So maybe it really is NOT for me at all? Ugh. I'll stop my drunken self-actualizing now

Butting in here. I don't think it's that you don't want to help people, it's about not saying that in an interview. My dad told me about his med school interview when he said that. The guy interviewing him said "so garbage men don't help people? Truck drivers don't help people?" So I think you just rephrase that statement.
Say something along the lines of HOW you want to help people.
Algebra is not my thing either and it had been ok so far. Good luck!

I absolutely want to help people, but that's not what you should say in your application/interview haha. It's just said a lot by applicants and it's a little cliche and non-specific.
Science is definitely important in nursing school. There is some math associated with pharmacology (dose calculations, drip rates, etc...) but nothing crazy.
