I will have my IUD removed in January sound when J is one. We'll see what happens and start really trying in June/July. It took 2.5 years with J so I'm not holding my breath or anything.
All of you who have babies younger than DS posting in this thread are making my mouth drop wider and wider as I keep reading. Wow. Good for you guys. But then as I think about it, I realize if we start in December that will give us a 2.5 year age gap. Still, no way.
I know what you mean, although I technically fall in your category here
so many people in my irl circle are already trying for #2. nooooo. cannot comprehend. and there is a blogger (the small things blog, I think?) who had a baby last December and is due again in February. 14 months! I would die right now if I were pregnant. first tri exhaustion with a kid who is still up half the night? nope.
Is it awful that a small part of me wants to be all "yes!!!" With our older kids I was pregnant again when they were 2ish, so I feel like part of me is going to be all "okay, time for another" this spring when DS3 is 2.
But that said, no. Definitely not. We are done. But I am jealous of/excited for those of you who are.
Sits next to you.
I'm so wishy washy about it. I'll catch myself daydreaming about having a baby and then grumbling about the hassles of living with small, messy children when cleaning food off the wall yet again (thanks dd). Then I'll randomly wander into a MOTN thread on here and I'm like, oh hell no, I cannot go through the torture of sleep deprivation again. But then I think, maybe when DD is in preschool full time...probably not though.
Yes, probably August or September. Baby #2 is due in Jan. and I want to keep everyone about 18 months apart. There will be 19 months between #1 and #2. I like to live on the crazy side of life apparently
Well I have a 3 month old so this could change but right now the plan is to ditch the condoms after his 1st birthday. I want to BF until at least one. Also, we TTC for 2 years to get this one so we would rather try sooner than later.

Lol, I know. It is very weird when people with toddlers younger than J already have a second.
I am not well equipped for parenting infants I have decided.
I really like infants, but they are so exhausting. I think it's interesting how you, @vicmo, and I all feel the same way and all had slow nursing babies. Coincidence? Something to it? Interesting either way.

We are! J is currently 13.5 months and we have February targeted; that would give us a Novemberish baby. If it doesn't happen in February, we'd probably skip a month or two, because I don't want a Christmas baby.
We're very specific and fortunately seem to be very fertile, so planning it out to the month could be a possibility for us.
