Weekdays are so much easier than the weekend. That and my frittata for breakfasts this week came out awesome (eggs, onion, bacon, and broccoli). Added bonus that I'm down 12.5 lbs.
I made a tuna fish salad last night with avocado, cilantro, cumin, salt, pepper, homemade mayo and tomatoes. I'm having some if it with a sweet potato and a hard boiled egg! Yum I also feel like I've lost quite a bit of weight even though it's only been a little over a week.
Bless me board, for I have sinned. I cheated yesterday a bit. I felt sick afterward, so I'm guessing it was the Whole30 gods punishing me.
Bahahaha. I told DH I wanted real, full fat ice cream when I'm done. He said I should probably work up to it because it will likely make me sick. I know he's right, but I might not listen.

I may have said this here before, but I swear - one day I'm going to sit down with an Epipen, a bottle of liquid Benadryl, and a donut from this local donut place and eat the whole thing.
Feeling: Okay. Tired but I'm also 29 weeks pregnant and have two young kids. I think the low carb flu will start in the next day or so.
Annoyed that DH isn't happy with the food I am preparing. We had sweet potato, apple, onion, sausage hash this morning and I could tell he wasn't into it and he said as much. He doesn't have the most adventurous palette.
It's frustrating because I put a lot of time and effort into cooking when we're doing a Whole30 so I want to make things I like. DH would be happy with chili or meatloaf for dinner every night and bacon and eggs for breakfast.

I did a Whole60 challenge a couple of years ago at the Crossfit gym I used to go to, and I stayed on track the entire 60 days (and felt amazing and awesome and lost 13 pounds while doing the challenge). The week after the challenge ended I went on a week-long trip to Italy with my family, and the first day there I ate a HUGE serving of gelato (because I love it and it is the best thing in the world). I was so so so sick the whole night after eating that gelato - that's when I learned that maybe my body doesn't handle ice cream products so well because every time I have a milkshake or big serving of ice cream I would feel sick (I still eat ice cream products, now (well not right now on whole30) I just make sure I have a Lactaid before hand).
Also, my arm skin is clearing up. FUCK YOU DAIRY WHY ARE YOU SO DELICIOUS?!
Noooooooooo.
I kind of half want to feel amazing on this diet and half don't so that I can go back to eating cheese and drinking beer.
this is my biggest gripe. i HATE that i feel so much better. lol. deep down i knew that dairy was not agreeing w me, but now that it is confirmed i am just sad. i now know what it's like to not feel bloated all the time, i haven't had an upset stomach at all (when it used to be about every other day,) and i haven't even had heartburn. i am PISSED. dairy is my favorite food group. i used to make a meal out of cheese. of course i will have it occasionally once i'm done w this, but the fact that i can't just eat a few slices of extra sharp cheddar on the regular is saaaaaaaad.
