I received a TDaP booster and a chicken pox booster on August 21st. I was extremely sore, sick, and had a fever until about Monday the 25th, and then I was totally fine after that. My arm was completely clear. On Sunday the 31st (10 days later), I developed a red raised hot rash where my chicken pox injection was... tender to the touch, low grade fever yada yada. I had also been having really severe headaches at random. Nurse line advised that I pop into Urgent Care, so I did. They told me I am in the small percentage of people who develop a rash 5-26 days after the vaccine, and a slightly larger percentage of people who run a late onset fever. Cool beans. No big deal. Immune systems are awesome. I was given the general "come back if you feel like you should".
It's kind of getting worse. It's grown from about quarter size to half dollar size and is all weird and lopsided, it's more definitively raised, still hot to the touch, and increasingly tender (it did just hurt when I brushed it, now it hurts in general and especially if I move my arm). I feel fine aside from some random nondescript sick feelings, mainly nausea. OTC meds control the low grade fever just fine.
I realllllyyyy do not want to go bug my doctor if this is within the realm of normal. These were my first vaccines in 10+ years and I grew up in an anti-vax family, so I just have no frame of reference for normal. This is normal, right? Please don't hate me, I am not anti vax
You haven't been vaxed at all previously, am I reading that right? If you haven't then I would say it sounds like your immune system is in overload. It may be worth checking out with your doctor just for peace of mind. I had a bad reaction in July to the TDaP booster and was horribly sick for over 2 weeks, with headaches, fevers, upset stomach. It was terrible. I have Lyme and Celiac so it was overkill for an an already overloaded immune system I can now only have the separated out vaccines instead of the combination ones. I am speshul.

I got the tdap a few months ago because I needed a the pertussis part and I'd say may arm was warm, swollen and tender to the touch for a good two weeks after. i was really shocked at how long the reaction lasted even though my doctor told me to expect it.
Okay, this is reassuring. I just firmly did NOT want to be one of those "OMG MY VACCINE IS KILLING ME!" people. I will continue to sit tight unless it gets dramatically worse. Thanks for all the help! Glad I got these because it's better than whooping cough or adult chicken pox by a long shot
