Omg I'm still shaking, I was so nervous to see the email that scores are available. My heart is still beating soooo fast because I was so nervous I failed lol.
My score isn't the best, but slightly higher than step 1, so I'm glad it didn't drop.
Thanks for always letting me AW about this journey
Yay! I have no idea what this means, lol. Are you a doctor yet or what?
Haha, no I wish. All med students have to pass 2 sets of national boards during school. One test is after 2nd year and taken after 3rd year. They're required for graduating and to become a physician but also residency programs also use the scores to decide if they want to interview you.
Basically it's a kind of test that will somewhat determine your future because some programs won't interview you for residency if you have below a certain score.
Unfortunately I'm not the best standardized test taker and kind of have low standards for myself with these tests lol, I'm happy that I passed even though it's not an impressive score.

I don't know if anyone studies for it either. LOL. I think they're all like "yeah, I got this" because it's less book knowledge and more practical knowledge.
You're graduating in June--right? So you'll be interviewing soon. You should look out by me, then we could meet for coffee
Congratulations! Considering the year of transition you have had, this is even more impressive You should stop doubting yourself, you clearly know your stuff! So once this year is over, then you go into residency?
Yes. Applications go out in a few weeks. So fingers crossed I get some interviews and match, then I'll start residency next July.
And thank you for saying to not doubt myself I really try not to because I know I have a good knowledge base and interact well with the teams I work with and patients, but it's hard when things can be so numbers based and I don't do well on standardized tests I know I'll automatically get rejected from a lot of programs, but hopefully some will look at me beyond just the numbers and look at my whole application!

Yes June!
Where do you live? I'm applying to about 80 programs, so chances are good I might be coming your way lol.
