These bastards come out of no where! A couple weeks ago I noticed some dots on my right hip. I feel the most pulling from that side so expected it. Tonight I noticed them starting to grow and now dots on my left hip. I thought maybe I would be one of the lucky ones to not get any. Ha! I'm sure my time is coming soon that they'll start crawling up my stomach. I know it's common to get them but it still makes me sad. I lather up in bio oil and cocoa butter every day.
Yeah, the last couple of weeks have not been good to me, at all. My butt is COVERED in stretch marks, which is weird, because I really don't think it's much bigger at all. I guess my belly skin is just stronger, and the general stretching had to break somewhere?
Between my sciatica, the world's most terrible hemorrhoids, and now my stretch marks...my butt has really seen better days.
Don't beat yourself up about it. Lotions don't stop them. It's the lowest layers of your skin ripping apart and then growing scar tissue as fast as possible in between.
They do fade and shirk a lot in time. I'm basically a stretch mark/ enormous belly poster child so if I have hope you should too! .
I've had stretch marks on my hips, lower back and books since I was a teen. I'm so screwed.
I have this too but have not gotten any new stretch marks with pregnancy. This is my third pregnancy and I know I'm not out of the woods - 29 weeks - but I'll be surprised if I get some. Surprised but not gutted. They'll just match the old ones on my hips, thighs and boobs
Genetics plays a big part in getting pregnancy stretch marks. My mom didn't get any with her first three pregnancies then got a lot whens she was pregnant with twins. I don't think puberty/growing stretch marks necessarily mean you will get them while pregnant.
I got them starting at 23 weeks last time and ended up covered. The ones on my boobs didn't show up until she was born and I started nursing. Always fun.
I don't understand how supermodels never get them. You would think that genetically at least a couple of them would have them, but they all seem to be back in bikinis looking good 6 weeks after giving birth. (I'm sure makeup and photoshop helps haha.)
I never got one during puberty. My stomach was covered in them by 8 weeks with DS. I got them all over my thighs in my second pregnancy, even though that one ended at 14 weeks. And I got 2 this pregnancy, just above my boobs, near my armpit.
I've been lucky so far, but I still have a long ways to go. My skin doesn't feel tight at all, but I'm worried about my chest after I have the baby. Oh well, not too much I can do about it (although I'll still use my bio oil every morning).

I have a few starting on my side/stomach now. I keep thinking somehow my ass is going to get them because that is constantly feeling like something is pulling/stretching.
H asked me the other day if my skin was breaking out since they look like someone took a marker and made 6 dots on my hip. It's weird how they started that way.
I have a few starting on my side. I also got them during puberty, so I figured it would happen during pregnancy too. I'm just hoping they don't get too bad and fade kind of quickly.

i have some on my knees and hips from puberty (thanks growth spurt) and had a few from my first pregnancy. they all faded to white and became less noticeable. Curious how the twin pregnancy will affect my skin, but I know I can't prevent it. so whatever. bring it
I got them during puberty but didn't get any with my first pregnancy. I'm currently 29 weeks and hoping I don't get them this time around, although if I do, it's not like I was a blank canvas lol.
I've always been super probe to them...like I could gain 10 lbs and end up with stretch marks. I made it to about 20 weeks without any, but they're really starting to set in on my belly
I've had some stretch marks since I was a teen. I've noticed I'm starting to get more on my belly. My mom has none Oh well. I once heard them referred to as battle scars so I'm sticking with that
