If you are done having kids, what are you doing with outgrown clothes? There are definitely some I can't let go of yet, but I don't want to deal with all of them so I have been offering to friends. Do you consign the nicer things?
I took a giant pile to Once Upon a Child. They gave me $60 and rejected a bunch. I took the rejects to Salvation Army and donated them. I have kept *a couple* of nice or sentimental things. I want to give a few of DD's better dresses to someone or save them for hypothetical future niece.
I just hand them down to whoever I can find with a kid the right age. Don't want to deal with selling and I was given mostly hand me downs so it's like passing the karma on I guess.

Nope. I pass down many of DS's clothes to a friend who has a son who is a bit younger, the rest I donate. With DD's clothes, I am hanging onto the nicer baby girl stuff awhile and am looking to donate the rest.
I give all my girl clothes to someone who had a girl born at the same time of year as DD. At this point the only thing I kept was the dress she wore for her first birthday.
For DS, I have given all the clothes to two work friends that had boys in the same month as DS only a year later.
I had so much stuff for DD that I did send two large trash bags to a great organization that does baby showers with donated goods for local pregnant teens.
My goal was to get everything baby related out of my house as soon as possible once we knew we were done with it.
I sorted through all of DDS (I had like 8 totes..it was nuts). I passed the crap/stuff I didn't love/ugly to a friend who is in a desperate situation and needed clothes. She was grateful and I felt good.
The rest I am saving for my sister (Still like 4 totes) I am saving for my sister's hypothetical kids. If someone close wants them in the meantime they're gone.
There are only 4 outfits I will not part with. Otherwise I have no sentimental attachment to clothes.
And there is no market for baby clothes here. Like I'd made $10.00 an entire tote...not worth it.
DS actually doesn't have that many clothes. You own whale shirt you own them apparently.

My cousin had a baby 3 months after me so I've been shipping her HUGE boxes of clothes that DD has outgrown. I actually got my Carter's shipment in the mail yesterday and sent her a text saying "I just got a shipment of future clothes for your daughter!"
I hadn't thought about trying to sell them back at Once Upon a Child. Hmmmm, I might try that.
I haven't been able to bring myself to do anything with them yet.
I want to find a TA to sell some of it on ebay then I'll consign the rest. I'll save some pieces to make a quilt or something. I really loved so many of my DDs outfits, getting rid of them is going to be hard! I'm not nearly attached to most of DS stuff. Probably because most of it was handed down. His stuff I'll probably hand down since it was given to us.
some are being kept, some are being sold, and some are being given away. Of course, the older my boys get, the less and less are in the keeping/selling category b/c after clothes go through the two of them, they're ripped, stained, or lost most of the time!

I hand down DS's stuff to my nephew. I used to sell/consign the girls stuff but decided it wasn't worth the effort. I pass it on to friends of friends or donate it.

I just went through boxes of DS's clothes preparing for the next baby.
I gave a trash bag or two to my younger cousin who just had a baby. Traded with a mom I met at a party who has a little girl and is due with a boy around the same time I'm due wth my girl. Then I consigned the nicer things at a semi annual kids sale last week and made $150!
1. Trash any items that are stained or worn out after being worn by all three boys 2. Save a very few special items in a keepsake box 3. Sell a small handful of things with some decent resale value on eBay 4. Save some cute things for my brother and SIL in case they have a baby boy some day 5. Donate the rest
