Had my first appointment today and got to see our little one on ultrasound. It was so nice to hear that everything is looking good! I am 9w1d, measuring 8w5d.
I also had my first real nausea struggles last night (those waves of nausea I was having before were nothing) and was sick three times throughout the night.
So overall I'm really starting to feel pregnant!
Now I just need to figure out when I want to tell people. I'm considering telling my parents now and waiting for others, but feel weird telling them and not the in-laws. I know H is really excited and wants to tell his parents too, but his mom cannot keep a secret at all and I know will hate having to keep it a secret for so much longer. She's always been overly concerned with the state of my uterus and when we're having kids anyhow, so I feel like I want to wait a little longer before telling her anyhow (is that awful? We don't have a bad relationship, but not the best either.)
Congratulations! Glad your appointment went well, but sorry you're not feeling well.
I told my mom and my in-laws early (8 weeks), but didn't tell my dad until I was 11 almost 12 weeks. He can't keep a secret and I didn't want him blurting it out. It was fine.

Yay! Glad it went well. My first appt is on Tuesday and I'm super excited. We're waiting to tell our parents until after the appointment (assuming all goes well, of course). I'm chomping at the bit the share the news!!

Congratulations! I told my parents at 5w, in laws at 8w after first appointment, bffs at 10w, boss at 11w after good nt scan, told work at 12w, and Facebook at 14w. I havent told any of my clients or vendors yet, I'm still feeling it's so early, I can hide the tiny bump easily so I'm waiting. Good luck!!!
It is helpful to hear that others staggered telling the parents. I mean, it's not like I would tell MIL that my mom knew sooner, there would be no reason for her to know.
