Backstory: when runforrest posted them I immediately started calling all the Nordstroms in a 100 mile radius (since they were sold out online). Every person I talked to said, "Let me check..." and would come back and tell me they were sold out of my size.
So I call the millionth store and the guy goes, "Sure. What size?" So I tell him and he goes, "What's your cc #?"
I had a feeling something was wrong since he just had every size and didn't have to go check. But I got a confirmation and assumed everything was okay.
Then this morning I got a cancellation, I call CS and they tell me they're sold out everywhere. They basically couldn't do anything for me. I'm SO upset!!!

That bites! I'd consider calling CS one more time to see if you could get a discount to use on something else for your trouble. Does anywhere price match that you could get them from instead or is there a similar boot that they could substitute?
I agree with FCG. I'd ask if it's possible to have a discount on a similar pair/style. (Didn't they do that last year's sale with TB boots?; they ended up having a sale on 2 styles because the first sold out so quickly?)
Boo, that sucks! I agree with karebear and the others - keep checking and I'm sure there will be some returns. But I would also try to talk to CS again and see if there is anything they can do.

Man I'd be really upset, I've been eyeing those boots and even with their sale going on right now I couldn't bring myself to pay that much. But it looks like it wouldn't have worked out anyway.
Ditto Karebear.. I'd request an email of the price match! Hopefully it'll all work out in the end and you'll get the boots for that price when it gets cooler out. Think about if you got the boots now, you'd be so tempted to wear them but it's still way too hot.
At least they marked your file for a price match. I'd request an email of that!
Definitely get it in writing so you don't have any drama when they come back in stock! (yes I said 'when' power of positive thinking and all that )
Haha love that positive thinking!
I chatted CS and they said they would send an email with the price match promise. Hasn't come through yet, but it should [hopefully] be there shortly...

Joanis, I spoke to a customer service rep and they told me the boots may come in again during the fall at full price. So there is hope!! esp since you have the price match note!
Sorry, I wasn't around last week and didn't know the style everyone was referring to and if there was more than one that was on sale.
Joanis, those are really nice! Like others said, I'd keep checking back to see if there are any returns or hopefully another department store will eventually get them in (AND price match!)
I agree with Mav. These type of sales are a tease. Just like places like Best Buy advertise amazing door busters that lead to 200 people lining up, but it's a disapointment when people realize only 5 tvs are for sale. Ha.
Oh no, I'd be totally devastated too! Glad you are getting a price match in writing though, it seems like the best they can do under the circumstances. I'm sure they'll be back in stock soon.
It sucks that you couldn't get them on sale! I won't be THAT devastated though since there is another very good alternative to this one LOL! It sounds like you are CRAZY about them! If I loved them as much as you sound like you do, I would give up a few other shopping trips and just get the Calista ones from her site (http://www.toryburch.com/Calista-Flat-Riding-Boot/22128693,default,pd.html). I mean you have easily rang up the difference buying other stuff before, right? I see it like an opportunity cost. Haha! And if you don't want to spend the full price, you can always wait for these to go on sale.
I personally like the Calista better. Its almost identical and the only difference I notice is the logo piece is bigger. I think its a good alternative to the Nadine boots you are crying over.
Also ask Nordstrom if they will be selling the Calista ones at all. They are currently available at Saks though. So if you keep an eye out for their sale, or coupons or any sort of sales event that will give you discount, it will be worth the wait.
