It sucks that you couldn't get them on sale! I won't be THAT devastated though since there is another very good alternative to this one LOL! It sounds like you are CRAZY about them! If I loved them as much as you sound like you do, I would give up a few other shopping trips and just get the Calista ones from her site (http://www.toryburch.com/Calista-Flat-Riding-Boot/22128693,default,pd.html). I mean you have easily rang up the difference buying other stuff before, right? I see it like an opportunity cost. Haha! And if you don't want to spend the full price, you can always wait for these to go on sale.
I personally like the Calista better. Its almost identical and the only difference I notice is the logo piece is bigger. I think its a good alternative to the Nadine boots you are crying over.
Also ask Nordstrom if they will be selling the Calista ones at all. They are currently available at Saks though. So if you keep an eye out for their sale, or coupons or any sort of sales event that will give you discount, it will be worth the wait.
That boot costs $200 more- not interested in spending more than $300, regardless of "giving up a couple shopping trips".

I love that we're all so up in arms over this boot situation. Too bad we aren't all in the same city as the Nordstrom in question. We could do a "sit in" until Joanis gets her boots!
hahah I love you girls! Thanks for making me LOL in the face of such a traumatic moment ;D
I called about 7 million stores, who told me to call 7 million more and one store claimed to have them, so I placed my order. I'm not ready to get excited because this is the same thing that happened before.
I did make her promise that she was holding them in her hand though, haha.
Oh and Mav- the store that has them is Short Hills. I'm praying they come through!!

Nadine also costs $495 when not on sale. By all means I don't want you to spend another $200 extra! I just simply suggested incase you couldn't wait for the Calista to be on sale and just had to have it because they look almost identical to me. And this doesn't mean I am not mourning your loss. I would be pissed too if I thought my order went through and only to be told sorry we are out of stock. Actually this just happened to me last month. I ordered a necklace and kept waiting for it to show up in the mail. Turns out I got refunded because the seller was out of stock. It really does suck. I have to say I am surprised though. I didn't expect this from a store like Nordstrom.
This happened to me last year with Nordstrom and the anniversary sale - actually even down to me finding them a 2nd time at another store (and I did end up with the shoes). It was really frustrating b/c I tried the shoes on in store, but they didn't have the color I wanted. They checked inventory at other stores right in front of me, ordered them, etc., and even called to make sure said store had them - and they didn't ever make their way to me. My order was canceled.
Anyway, it was super frustrating, but I did end up with my shoes, eventually. As much as I love Nordstrom, I've had a few frustrating anniversary sale experiences the past few years. I don't really feel like the customer service during the sale is up to it's usual level.

I never expected, before joining TN and then this board, that I could ever feel this invested in whether or not someone who I have never met in person before and know only through social media was able to find a pair of boots she wanted. However, I now know that I will be stalking this board and also Joanis's blog for confirmation that the boots have actually arrived in her hot little hands!

The internet is so weird sometimes.
hahaha thanks And yes, the internet is so weird! Sometimes when I'm talking about you ladies to other people I'm all, "oh...my friend..." and just hope they don't ask me to clarify that these friends are people on the internet I've never met
