Booked super ridiculous expensive plane tickets to go a wedding of a friend I last saw 15 yrs ago and am now questioning why I did that.
and my husband and are not getting along. This is suppose to be a trip for the 2 of us to rekindle things and I don't want to even be in the same room as him.
Did anyone go to the Star Spangled Spectacular in Baltimore yesterday? I watched it on PBS. It looked like quite the celebration.
I watched a Frontline episode on Ebola last night when I couldn't sleep. It was heartbreaking.
I was downtown on Friday and saw the tall ships and the blue AAngels practice. That was pretty amazing so I imagine the main shebang was a hell of a show.
Even with Ben Affleck, it looks like the movie could be decent. I read the book and I don't think I've ever hated the main characters of a book more than I did that one.
I just demolished my first pumpkin related item of the season, a pumpkin pie blizzard. It was amazing.
Have you read Madame Bovary? That's always number one on my most hated characters list.
It has been really cool here the last two days--less than 60. And it's glorious!
DH and his dad totally went to town fixing up our yard. There was so many weeds and overgrowth that needed to be removed. It looks way, way better. Just praying all the grass seed they put down actually grows. We still have two rose bushes to plant as well.
It still needs way more work but it seems manageable now. I need to have a party on our deck next month to show off all the awesomeness!

I completely forgot about that book. I read it it in high school, but I completely agree with you. The characters in that book were just horrible.
I don't know what's worse shopping for jeans, sports bras (bras in general) or swim suits.
Swimsuits for me. Even being plus sized, I know if I spend enough money, jeans will looks good.
Do you have a good local bra shop? Mine just asks what go want, measures me, and brings me piles of stuff. I buy want I want. So painless.
If you are busty, I highly suggest the Panache sports bra. It's really flattering and holds everything up well.
I have a Panche one in the amazon cart since I can't seem to find one IRL to try on. I like my under armour one a lot just doesn't come in razorback in my size. Bummer.

Nice! If you get a chance to see the PBS special, you should watch it. The fireworks were spectacular, I can't imagine being there in person.
Also really good for sports bras for the busty is the Moving Comfort brand. It's the first I've ever had where I didn't have to wear more than one. Nothing moved on me, even in kickboxing and running.

Boo to bras not coming in the right size! My local shop carries Panache as does Nordstrom. That's about it.
They fit pretty true to size. I guess just order from a vendor that's good about returns. Good luck!

Is it someplace fun? Will you have other friends there? If it gets really bad between you and YH (sounds like it already is), maybe just go along and see if you can gain any clarity with the space. *hugs*
I am salty as fuck this morning. TODAY IS MY DAY TO SLEEP IN!!! But I'm up and DH is sleeping. Because he's sick. STILL!! He's been sick for more than a week, including over my birthday. Not just "I can't shake this cough" sick either. How many days of fever and chills is normal before he needs to see a doc? I'm thinking he should go tomorrow. This is ridiculous.

That sucks. I would definitely call tomorrow. Hope he feels better, and you can get some sleep later today.
I have been non-stop all weekend between running and moving and am so dehydrated. Had to empty the attic earlier by myself, fu*k some of those boxes were so heavy!! I am re-hydrating with a beer, chips and hummus at 11am. Happy Sunday!

In BURN IT DOWN news...
I found out where the carpet beetle infestation in my house was coming from last night - a bag of opened Teff flour that had spilled over in a cabinet I rarely go into. It.was.so.disgusting.
Even worse - after I cleaned up the infested bag of flour, and thought I was in the clear, I was bringing down all my bake pans from a second shelf and there was a carpet beetle graveyard in the bundt pan. OMG. HUNDREDS of dead bugs.
My new car was hit/scraped in a parking lot this morning. I want to cry.
I just got a new car end of June. The day I brought it home my garage door broke. So I had to park it outside on the street. I live in Capital Hill (Denver) and it was the weekend of pride when there is all kinds of stuff going on and people out partying. Some drunk asshole walking by in the middle of the night kicked in one of my taillights. My new car was perfect for ONE day. I kinda miss having a car where I could accidentally hit a pole while trying to park and just shrug my shoulders at just another dent/scratch.

The writer on Orange is a New Black is divorcing her husband and has started dating the actress who plays Poussey. Is everyone crushing on that woman? I know I am.
