I'm going to read Gone Girl this weekend. Except I have to run back to the office to get it, but it shall be done.
I've also renewed two other PA-fiction books twice, so I need to just return them and get them another time. I hate that, but it's my own fault; I had them but wanted to finish the Divergent series, then I finally started them and really like the writing.

NO. This book is terrible. Tuurrrrrrible. I wanted to throw it across the room. Save your brain cells. Just see the movie because it can only be an improvement.

Ugh, really? My two CWs want me to read so I can discuss it. And it was lent to me by another CW who is generally intelligent.

The movie actually looks not terrible.
We are on Day Eight of illness in our house. As per usual, my awesome immune system kept this thing at bay and I was only super sick one day. DH is on Day Five of "OMG I'M GONNA DIE". Poor guy!
I got up early this morning so I could get my hair done before coming to work (filling in for someone today, overtime moniessss!) and I stopped at Corner Bakery to get breakfast. I ordered a farmer's scramble with no cheese, egg whites, and no sides at all and what I thought was an EXTRA side of bacon, because I somehow had it in my head that this came with bacon already and I wanted MORE bacon than the what I thought the allotted portion would be.
Well, I got my order and drove off and when I got to work and saw I only had my side bacon I was feeling some kinda way because I wanted ALL THE BACON this morning. Then I looked on the site and realized I was incorrect about bacon being a part of this dish and now I'm thankful I ordered the side of bacon because otherwise I would have had NO bacon and that would have made me sad.
I'm glad you got your bacon.
I'm miss Corner Bakery. The commuter croissant is so yummy.

SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE. That book was so good I forgot to feed my kids.
I am so crabby today. I hardly slept last night. I have a shitton to do today. I'm looking for a black bean soup recipe for the crock pot tomorrow and I'm coming up empty. I can't find anything good. I want to make it with some spicy sausage I have. My mom comes home Friday so this is my last quiet Saturday for awhile.
I want someone to make me breakfast. I want to make something really indulgent for myself today but I don't want it to be too hard or too time consuming. It's chilly here so the desire for comfort food is strong.
"Not gonna lie; I kind of keep expecting you to post one day that you threw down on someone who clearly had no idea that today was NOT THEIR DAY." ~dontcallmeshirley
Even with Ben Affleck, it looks like the movie could be decent. I read the book and I don't think I've ever hated the main characters of a book more than I did that one.
I just demolished my first pumpkin related item of the season, a pumpkin pie blizzard. It was amazing.

+1 bajillion
The rest of you are huffing the good stuff.
I like fucked up characters. Normal people are boring. I think maybe because I'm so even-keeled and drama-free in real life that I enjoy reading about awful people.
I just watched the secon trailer for the GG movie and had an Atlas Shrugged Part III ad. Remember back when Jolie was rumored to be cast as Dagny? Man, she would've killed in that role.

I have a love/hate relationship with Corner Bakery.
I love love love the bacon cheddar breakfast panini, but I swear the last several times, they have fucked it up royally. Once, it took 20 minutes for me to get my food, and the damned thing was burnt when I got it.
I love Rosamund Pike so really, GG could be garbage and I will watch it. Add in David Fincher and yeah. But I'm not reading it. I only hate read bad romance.

I just had the following email exchange with my husband.
Me: What do you want to do tonight? Movie? Comedy? Invite friends over to play games? Read Trivial Pursuit cards to each other? Dress up the cats for a fashion show?
H: Those are all reasonable ideas. Thoughts?
Me: Really? A cat fashion show is a reasonable idea?

It is if you give us pics. Of the cats and all the scratches you endured.

Ok, now my random. My parents are here. My parents are generally awesome, so this is fine. But god help me if my dad tells me one more thing he knows I already know... we had this exchange this morning:
Dad: There are a bunch of media vans by the Vikings place in Eden Prairie.
Me: I would expect that, with Adrian Peterson being charged with child abuse and all.
Dad: Adrian Peterson apparently abused his son and is facing up to 2 years in prison.
He then went on to tell me all about the allegations.
Then 2 hours later told me again that Adrian Peterson is facing child abuse charges.
I'm AWing my new Awesomely Luvvie Fist Up Tee. I went to see Best of Enemies - a play about the unlikely friendship formed between former Exalted Cyclops C.P. Ellis and the outspoken Ann Atwater who helped aid the desegregation of Durham NC public school system. I felt like there was no better place than the play to display my t-shirt:
