I cleaned out my trunk today and was thinking that it might be a good idea to keep some "supplies" in my trunk for emergencies (i.e. diapers, wipes, snacks, etc). I generally have a diaper bag with me, but maybe this would be good in case I unexpectedly pick C up or something.
Do you keep anything in your trunk?
Right now I have an emergency car kit that my parents bought for me years ago (jumper cables, fix-a-flat, other random car things), an umbrella, an empty tote bag, the crappy old umbrella stroller, and a snow brush.
Less than a month ago I was unable to make it home from work due to rain so severe it basically flooded all of metro Detroit. There was literally no way home.
Since then, I keep a change of clothes, a toothbrush, toothpaste, snacks, water and socks/shoes. I also keep all of this for C as well as diapers and wipes and a couple small toys.
This is something I have been thinking about. Right now I just have a fleece pullover for DD and a zip up for me in the car in case we are out and get cool.I also have a blanket in the car because it's been cool in the mornings and I toss it over her legs. In the winter I keep hats, and gloves in the pockets behind the front seats in case we are ever in a bind. I know I 'should' have more on hand but I never know what I need and how I can store it so it's not in the way or cluttery.

I have a bag with diapers, wipes, 2 light blankets, one outfit, changing pad, a few toys, bib and burp cloths, and nursing pads. I also have our umbrella stroller.
Nothing for me at this point, but I think that will change for winter when conditions could change and I might get stuck somewhere. I'd add a small toiletries bag and 1 outfit and underwear. I also need to change the outfit for DS from a summer romper to a warmer sleeper.
I carry a smaller diaper bag at all times too with all simple necessities and purse type items.

In the winter I like to carry an extra blanket in the trunk. I also keep an extra shift for me when I have a baby that likes to spit up. Diapers and wipes are also good, along with a couple snacks. I've used all of those at one point or another.

I keep a change of clothes for each kid, including a diaper and wipes for DS2. I also have an old towel which has come in handy several times, usually to dry the slides at the park in the early morning.

We both have emergency diaper kits in our cars - diapers, wipes etc in one of those fold out changer things. I also have jumper cables, a big metal shovel, a large container of road salt, an old crappy towel to kneel on if I have to change a tire, a blanket, and usually a pair of tennis shoes, although not at the moment.
In various parts of my van there are: an emergency pack of graham crackers, an umbrella stroller, umbrella, books and magnadoodle for kids, my gym bag (toiletries and change of clothes for me), a bib, socks for both kids and sunscreen.
Thanks to this reminder I'm going to add a few diapers and wipes. I've never been without in my bag, but it probably can't hurt.
I usually keep a gallon ziploc with a few extra diapers and a travel pack of wipes. It's saved me a few times when I thought there were diapers in the bag and there were not.
In the winter I do usually have a blanket in there too, and gloves. When it was so cold last winter, I kept DD's fleece snow suit or a coat in the car even if we were just running in/out really quickly in case we got stuck somewhere.
Uh, nothing really. I hate having a cluttered car. I should probably keep some kind of emergency kit (jumper cables at least, or a few diapers), but I don't even keep an umbrella in my car...
An outdoor blanket. With kids in sports I end up needing that thing all the time. Also, a car emergency kit, a few diapers, wipes. Usually we have a few bottled waters as well.

OMB I can't think of much that's NOT in there. Change of clothes for the whole family. 1 toothbrush, toothpaste. baby wipes, roll of paper towels, a few water bottles, power bars. I used to keep swim diapers and regular diapers but I think I took them out at this point. Jumper cables, emergency walkie talkie (5 mile radius, with others at MIL and SIL's house and in H's truck. He used to work less than 2 miles away but now 20 miles away so that won't help.)
hot hands, inhaler, benadryl, old cell phone and charger for calling 911, fix a flat, etc. blankets, a towel, oh, and bathing suits. You never know who has a pool or hot tub!
I used to keep a tent in my trunk in college, because, hey, you never know.

A handful of diapers (though, now that DD's potty trained, they are less necessary), a sample container of wipes, a roll of paper towels, an umbrella, a small 'emergency' kit with bandages/spray saline/neosporin to go/a hair brush & comb, tooth brush/paste, extra tee shirt/undies/socks, a blanket for the kiddo and there's probably a couple packages of bunny crackers floating around in one of the pockets...

Oh yeah, there's a hospital emergency bag, too from before we had smart phones. H cut himself pretty bad on his forehead and had to go to the emergency room and we had to sit there for hours. Now in addition to the sweats in the car are face wash wipes, cross words, etc.
I have a bag with diapers, wipes, an extra set of clothes for the girls, and blankets. I also have a couple of snacks for J. Now that j is 90% potty trained (still working on it when out and about) I also keep a little portable potty thing that you attach a diaper to. This way if he doesn't want to go in the public restrooms he has that option. And since I always have diapers for the girls it is super convenient.

Powerade, snack bars diapers, wipes, blanket for us and the babe, change of clothes for the babe, tennis shoes/socks for me ( in case I wore heels that day) bottle and a carrier. I've been stranded in my car before on a cold, rainy winter night so I'm always prepared. Especially after Icemagedon earlier this year.
ETA: I used to keep books back there, but these days I dobt I'll be able to read and I have my iphone/ipad.

Stroller, jumper cables & an outdoor blanket. You never know when you might need to pull over & have a picnic. In the summer I keep a beach umbrella & beach towels. LOL. Not emergency stuff. Sometimes you just have to make a detour to the beach.

None. Apparently, I live on the edge.
Although, we rarely use my car. I drove DS one mile to daycare each day, then I get on the train to work. If we go somewhere on the weekends, we take S.O.'s car.
