I am loving my new Shadey Minerals eyeshadows, now that I've given them the alcohol treatment. Today I'm wearing leo (gold) and maroon matte. Sorry for the sucky lighting. Very rainy today.
This week was like Christmas week in my house. I recieved my ulta order with the rainforest palette, revlon matte balm in elusive, Maybeline's age rewind concealer, stila in the light, stila in the moment, and the free stila convertible blush in peony. And I love it all!!! Originally I bought in the light for the free shipping but when I opened it up and saw the gray blues, ahhh. Gotta keep it.
My only hesitation is whether I'm going to keep the tarte palette or exchange it for the holiday set or the blush set. Decisions decisions....
The correct answer is "I'm going to keep the rainforest palette and buy the holiday set and the blush set."
This is MUFE Olive Grey (which is more of a pinky taupe than the name would lead you to believe) on the lid with a Bare Minerals Ready brown in the crease and MAC Water Willow liner. Blush is Rockateur, lips are UD glossy pencil in Naked, and foundation in Armani Maestro.
I tried the Too Faced Beauty Balm sample I received with my order and LOOK AT MY YELLOW FACE. I was already running late so I attempted to put some lighter powder all over after I took pictures. My husband swore I didn't look yellow, but he doesn't see color well so I don't trust him. I will just look sickly today.
Eyes are Stila in the Moment Chinois & Bark. I used an Ulta light blue eyeshadow just a bit on the lid after I used Tarte Acqualillies gel eyeliner in Splash to do a winged look. I really, really love this gel eyeliner because it's thinner and wetter, so it goes on smoothly and when it dries it stays put all day. Plus it makes a great double as a cream eyeshadow. And it takes me 4 days in a row of doing a winged liner to finally feel comfortable with it.
I used Tarte Amazonian mascara and I think I prefer this for everyday over my Lights, Camera, Lashes. Back to using Anastasia Brow Wiz in Chocolate. Lips are Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Wild Watermelon. I love the balance between this being a transparent color and having a lot of pigment, plus it feels like a moisturing lip product instead of lipstick. Cheeks are Tarte Maracuja Cheek Tint in Light Nectar. This is the product I bought at their sale and really didn't like the consistency or application, but loved the color. I forgot to return it, so I guess I'm keeping them! My fingers are orange, so I probably won't wear this product often.
And it doesn't look like a solid wing because the eyeliner has shimmer to it. I promise it is solid and looks fine, just doesn't photograph well.

I don't think I'll be getting Vice LTD. Here's a photo comparing it to Vice1 which I have. The girl who posted it said that it's similar but still different enough to warrant getting both. I'm not so sure about that.
@mrsbecky, what primer did you wear? I'm looking for something new for underneath my BB cream.
Then, speaking of BB cream - isn't there a drug store one that people say is pretty good? Garnier maybe? I've been using Tarte's BB cream and love it, but just ran out and thought I remembered something being talked about that was about half the price and wondered if it was worth a shot. Apologies is this has been talked about a ton - I haven't kept up on all of the makeup threads very closely.
Not BB cream, but I use Say Yes to Grapefruit CC cream and I LOVE it. It is about $16 but a little goes a long way. redheadbaker uses it as well. Some do not like the smell but it does not bother me.
Okay, Sephora order question. I think I'm going to order Tarte blush in exposed. I swatched it yesterday and it looks great.
Now, having seen the hourglass in person as well, I'm leaning towards Dim Exposure Infusion, which doesn't come in the blush palette. But you all are telling me to lean towards Tarte, right?
I LOVE my Hourglass blushes (I have Luminous & Mood- both in the palette). The color payoff is excellent, and I think it's worth the money. Luminous is similar to my natural flush, it's slightly peachy. Mood reads like a tanned blush on me, I like the color a lot. I use one swipe of blush for my HG blushes, versus MANY swipes of my clinique color pop or a couple swipes of Chanel/Lancome. It's disappointing how much clinique color pop I have to use to show up on my face.
I really want the palette when us plebes are able to buy it, but dim infusion appeals to me - it just doesn't come in the palette. (Mood exposure and luminous also appeal to me.) I know the palette has a different peach in it, though. So do I want 4 HG blushes, 2 that are peachy (which, in fairness, works well with my skin tone), or do I want the palette plus the Tarte? Hmm.
I might grab the Tarte now because I'm new to working with blush and I just want to try a touch of color at first. I'll play around with the HG blushes more before I get to palette - and I can probably convince my husband or MIL to buy the palette for me for Christmas anyway.
So are these various Fall and Holiday sets available at Ulta yet or do I need to make a trip to a store
I have a running list of what I need/want to use my $50 gc to Ulta:
Eyelash curler Hand cream with spf (my hands are look ooollldddd) Hello Flawless Benefit pressed powder some lipstick Too Faced Holiday set of some sort

Oh. I forgot I received my first ipsy bag this week. I'm kinda pissed about what I received. When I filled out the questionnaire my interests were eyeshadows, tools, brushes, and treatments. I received lipgloss, eyeliner, a conditioner, and a moisturizer. WTF. You would think that based on my interests they would have sent the brush, nyx eyeshadow, and that Maybeline blush. Ugh. I'm going to cancel in January if my bags don't improve.

Go leave feedback and rate your glambag. Tell them not to send you anymore of that kind of stuff.
I have fairly average skin. Not too oily. Not too dry.
I am almost 40, though, so I have some lines around my eyes.
I know people have already mentioned UD Naked Skin, but I've also heard good things about Neutrogena Healthy Skin. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the two have similar formulas and finishes.
The GWPs that they offer, like the little mini Stila blush with a $25 Stila purchase, etc -- are those also available in Ulta stores?
Most are, some are online only. If there's a freebie I really want, I call ahead to make sure they have it. Sometimes they run out, and will sub a different freebie.

Thank you!
Does Neutrogena test on animals? I try to stick to cruelty-free, but would love to go cheaper if they're both similar and CF.
