You guys!
My MIL braved Sephora for the first time in her life to buy me birthday presents :-) Sadly no Sephora points for me (DH said he wouldn't pass along my request that she give my phone number at check out and no receipt since she probably has no idea you can return makeup), but oh well. I'm super excited to play with my new stuff!
And I LOVE IT. You all need to run out and buy this now! My hopefully-will-someday-soon-be-my-SIL and I had a blast playing with all the fun lippy colors! The lip tar is pretty cool. The color is called black something, but it's a deep maroon that was very pretty on. I should have taken pictures of all of our pretty lips, but I didn't.
I had been thinking of the Tarte Rainforest palette when I passed along my wish list to DH to give to MIL, but it's now sold out in stores and the woman at Sephora told MIL this was the same thing BUT BETTER.
I'm unconvinced so far, but I'm excited to try all the things :-)
Didn't someone on here love the Tarte maracuja oil? You use it like a moisturizer, right??
It's that, two glosses (which are total overkill with all the other fun lippy stuff I got, but oh well!), mascara (my second favorite one, so that's awesome), a blush in a stick, and a tiny thing of Tarte finishing powder.
ETA: Oh, duh -- and the Tarte set also has a 20 eye shadow palette. Some fun colors, including a glittery silver that I can't wait to try!
You guys, I don't even participate much, but this thread has ruined me. I'm going to Spain next week and I was so excited about going to Sephora. But apparently in Spain they don't carry Tarte, Stilla, or Bite. So disappointing. However, I have a longish layover in Singapore and they DO carry those brands there. I planned to go to a cooked food center and stuff my face, because that is the best thing to do in Singapore, but now I'm considering skipping dinner to go to Sephora What has come over me?

I swatched all the eyeshadows from the Tarte Bon Voyage set. I didn't see these online anywhere, so I thought some one on here might be interested!
A lot of them are pretty purple, which is kind of fun. Especially since I was so disappointed in Candied Violet in the Chocolate Bar palette.
I've never used Tarte shadow before, and so far I like the texture. So smooth they're almost creamy like a cream shadow. I was fairly impressed with the color pay off since I obviously didn't use primer on my arm.
Overall I'd say they're better than they appeared at first glance.

First world makeup problems trying to decide what to get. The chic to cheek set $35, away oui go $48, or the pin up girl blush set $42? I really want to get one of these since the only high end blushes I have are a Stila and the rainforest palette blush. I like the chic set because it would make traveling with the blushes easier. But pin up would be good too because you would have options whilst traveling. And then away oui go would be like paying $13 for 12 eyeshadows, 3 lipglosses, and mascara. Ugh I wish I was more decisive.

If I hadn't already bought the blush set, I would get Away Oui Go. And I doubt I'd even use the lip glosses.

I'd get Away Oui Go for sure. With all three of them you get several blushes, but with Away Oui Go you get all that other stuff too. And the price really isn't that much more.
I didn't look to see if the blushes are smaller with that set, but even if they are, I'm sure they're big enough to last you for years!

If the WnW Melrose 5 pan palettes are indeed dupes for Naked 3, I may have to break down and buy it. I am LOVING the colors in both. The textures in the latest WnW stuff seem a lot more powdery than my Petal Pusher or WOE sets, but they're still manageable and the colors are great.
Huge thanks to jenni for sending me the one I couldn't find. I love love love the colors!
If you want a naked 3 dupe, buy Revealed 2 from Coastal Scents. I have Revealed 1 which are dupes for Naked 1 and 2 and I love, love, love it.
Eyes: the base is NYX pencil in Crystal; Vice 3 shadows in green and blue (the blue DOES NOT BLEND), NYX Yellow pigment in the corner; MAC Blue Ivy gel liner; Sephora Curling Mascara, Full mascara, and Anastasia Lash genius on top (yes all 3); MAC waterproof on bottom; Dipbrow and gel on my eyebrows
Face: Hourglass primer, YSL inked foundation, Tarte blush, Anastasia contouring powder, and Nars Cococabana highlight
Lips: MAC Red Blazer lipglass from The Simpsons line
Getting started for the challenge early. I've been getting bolder but brights are still pretty intimidating to me. I'm dipping my toe into the brighter end of the pool with Tarte Power Pigment in flush. I'm hoping I'll be up to Palomino by the end of the week.

Personally, I really like the four blush set. All three sets are great values, but for blush, I would rather have individual compacts than large clunky palettes. I have a Tarte palette that has two blushes and six eyeshadows, and I hate not being able to "see" the blushes alongside everything else in my blush pile. It's also difficult for traveling because it's all or nothing.
I also really like the Tarte blush compacts since they are different colors, which makes them easy to find in your makeup drawer.
Bite mulberry on my lips. This is pretty bold for me. I've tried and tried and I just can't fully embrace the bold lip on me.
I also used my it cosmetics cc cream and powder foundation. After using and loving the dr perricone no foundation foundation or the laura mercier tm this seems so heavy.
Hourglass ambient lighting palette and the purple looking hg blush from the palette
Really? Thank you! It is out of my comfort zone as much as I try to ease myself in to more colorful/deeper lips. Your compliments help me feel less silly:)
Thanks! I should also add that it might be time to sharpen the pitchforks because my husband, who is usually quite supportive of all things makeup, told me my makeup looked "scary" when he first saw it. Hahahaha!

From now on, whenever any husband makes such a remark, his face should be drawn on while he sleeps with whatever makeup product he hated.

I just want to say that the vice 3 palette is gorgeous enough for me to say I don't need megapro. I wore the burgundies to a wedding friday night and loved it. sadly I didnt take a pic but I will try to recreate the look this week
Bored + avoiding laundry = playing with my eye shadow palette:
I used primer and Maybelline Tough as Taupe as a base. I used my TF Natural Natural eye pallete: Nude Beach, Push Up then Velvet Revolover & Sexpresso as my "eyeliner" Heaven on my brow area They're Real mascara Of course the phone pic does not show up well but I am happy with it
I bought the Benefit blush holiday palette. ::hangs head in shame::
It came with a benefit train case. The first time I ever received an Ulta freebie.
How do you get the train case? Or is that for in store purchase? I don't see it online. I had an Ulta GC that I was saving for the mega pro palette, but since Ulta won't be selling it, I think I am going to go for this set. And then try to never buy blush again! ha ha ha!
1st picture: Top - Benefit, Middle - Hourglass, Bottom - Tarte
2nd picture: Top Left - Benefit, Top Right - Hourglass, Bottom Tarte
I had to swipe the Benefit blushes a few times with my finger to build up color to swatch. Both the Hourglass and Tarte blushes are one swipe with my finger. Based on that alone, I would say if you want a high pigment blush, I'd go with the Tarte or Hourglass and skip the Benefit palette. They seem like they're going to take several swipes to build decent color. If you don't need a lot of color, then they should be fine.
Last picture is the train case. It was an in store purchase.
