I just want to tell y'all that the Pumpkin and Poppy HG ambient lighting dupes are worth every penny. I got the dupes for diffused light(inner glow-Aphrodite) and dim light (inner glow-celestial). DIVINE. They do an awesome job at blurring pores and imperfections (they really help my Cover FX concealer hide my CPAP marks/creases) and just make my skin look more alive.
They are loose powders and they would be a lot more convenient for me if they were pressed but other than that I see no need to pay more for the HG versions
LOL I have been having a rough time getting pics the past two weeks because it's still dark out when I come in to work. I'll try to get one for ya this weekend.

They are $11. It's a very good deal. I wish I could compare them directly with the HGs but I've never tried them. That said, I've been very happy with the celestial.
I've loved all the P&P stuff honestly. The English rose cream blush is just lovely.
The jilted lipstick is hard to apply because it's hard but once it warms up on the lips it's super creamy and moist. And a beautiful true red color.

Are they in stock? I could do it.
In other news, I'm a MUT failure. The last couple of weeks I've just been throwing on mascara and calling it good.

It looks like she does have them in stock (and another one called Isis which is supposed to be a dupe of Radiant?) on her Etsy store. She also has an Artfire store, which I think I read is her main selling outlet.

So in terms of ULTA, what are the drugstore products you like? My friend is going to come with me tomorrow and we'll ring up one bill with the 20%. SO DAMN EXCITING
Anyway...I tend to like physicans formula. And I have a couple NYX products that are good.
What should I buy that's inexpensive but worth it?
I think the Say Yes to... line is good.
Revlon lip butters and balm stains are great.
Elf (not sure if they are sold at Ulta) blushes are excellent.
NYX butter glosses are nice. The NYX line in general is well loved.
Loreal Infallible lip glosses have the best staying power.

So far my list is: 4 DEVA products (stocking up) UD Naked Basics 2 cosmetic brushes (I'll likely do a mix of IT and real techniques) I may try out the IT cosmestics under eye concealer I may pick up another maybelline age rewind to have in the house I'd like to pick up a new lip product...something moisturizing but with some color
I really like NYX stuff. The Slide On liners are my favorite thing.
If you want tinted lip balm, I really like Burts Bees tinted lip balm.
Lots of people love the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream shadows (read them carefully because some are loose powder). I really liked them until they dried out my eyelids.
I've liked just about every skin care product from the Yes to line. They are more expensive at Ulta than Target or Amazon, but with 20% off, it will probably be a good deal.

Check out the sample kiosks near the counter, I frequently see samples of the IT undereye concealer there. I bet a sample of that product could last a long time.
Okay I've been kind of MIA, but Imma need to go back to the shampoo talk. I keep wanting to try something better but then I get paralyzed by indecision and bad reviews (which, let's be real, every product has). What do I want to try?? My hair is wavyish but I often dry straight. And it's pretty thick and long.

MUT lurker here, but ULTA frequently has 40% off sales on NYX and Physician's Formula. 20% off those items isn't really a good deal if you can wait. Did you get the 20% off prestige brands coupon?

I've been using Kevin Murphy the last few months. I get it from my stylist. It is expensive, but it lasts a really long time. You only need a tiny amount. It smells great and my hair is getting healthier. I use the Hydrate Me line, but they have others. I was using Pureology Nanoworks, but it was even more expensive and dried out my hair. So odd because I had used it a few years ago with great results.
Sometimes I use Suave Professionals line in the smoothing formula. It's actually pretty good, it can just make my hair a little heavy sometimes and I have to use a lot of it.

everybody else likes the Revlon lip butters, but I prefer the Ulta brand actually. Only if they're on sale though - they're overpriced otherwise. I love the Revlon balm stains and the matte balms. the maybelinne color whispers are ok, no staying power at all but they feel nice if you're a lip balm junkie who is reapplying constantly regardless.
I also like the ulta brand color coat cream eye shadow if you're into that. Similar to color tattoos but creamier.
Nyx butter lipsticks are nice too - very creamy but fairly opaque. Color selection is a little weird though - the lighter colors all seem to be kinda off and make me look like a dead person. The red is good (mary jane I think?) and I really like Pops for a neutral.
I wrote this post like 3 hours ago and have had it sitting on my computer ever since...posting now anyway.

nyx lip products are BOGO50 right now, so with the 20% on top of that it's not bad at all as long as you buy two items with similar prices. I think PF is full price though.

Here are my thoughts on what I tried.
I bought some stuff from the Macadamia line back in May during an Ulta hair promo. That stuff is nice, and my hair is looking very good. But then I tried samples of Bumble & Bumble. I do still really love the Macadamia deep conditioning masque, but the shampoo and conditioner seem less amazing in comparison.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my samples of the B&B Hairdressers Invisible Oil shampoo and conditioner, as well as the Surf shampoo and conditioner. When I used them, my hair felt soft and amazing, and looks very shiny and healthy. The Surf ones definitely seem to add some body to my hair, and I imagine if I did the whole routine with the surf spray, I could get that beachy look. The Hairdresser oil line smells incredible. The oil itself is amazing too. In general, those three things seem to make my hair look like it was just brushed all day long even when I haven't brushed in hours.
I did not like the B&B thickening shampoo and conditioner. They left my hair feeling dry and not thoroughly conditioned. Plus, my hair felt weird all day. It did feel thicker, but not in a good way. More in a heavier, WTF is wrong with my hair today kind of way.
I haven't tried any other fancy brands.
FWIW, I have fine, thin hairs, but a lot of them. So I'm not sure if it's really considered thick. My hair is straight with very little body.
So to make the MT3 CEP related ... How many wrong things do you see with this Tarte ad?
What is with the random stock photo of the woman in the sari?
LOOK PEOPLE AN ADORABLE LITTLE INDIAN LADY REALLY MAKES THIS SHIT!!!!!!
And she's nameless. Just "Indian Artisan."
The two white girls have names.
The "Indian artisan" was probably paid in pennies.
The two white girls (with names) get to traipse into India and point at things for their "little market" that they probably make millions off of and then fly back to Malibu.
Again, the nameless "Indian artisan" probably made pennies that she uses to take the bus (hopefully no gang rapes!) back to her little shack with no plumbing.
What I don't understand is that it seems like anyone who would be interested in such a product probably has most of those products. Who is the target audience here?

Good question. The ones waiting are the ones who probably balked at just one palette price.
omg, the p&p artfire site makes me want to poke my eyes out.
ETA: I ordered all 3 powders. I'll compare when they come in.
The etsy site is easier to navigate and she actually has descriptions about her products there. The artfire site has cheaper shipping and more product.
