Does anyone have the It Naturally Pretty Celebration palette? I love my Naturally Pretty palette but have heard mixed things about Celebration. I bought it and immediately returned it, but I'm feeling wishy washy about the decision.
Celebration looks way too similar to Vol. 1 to be worth it.

Does anyone have more reviews of Away Oui go?
I was thinking it would be a good choice for me to get a few blushes and decent eyeshadows, with the other things as a bonus.
As a background: I own one blush (NYX pinched) and two drug store quads of eyeshadow- one of which is about 10 years old- as well as a few revlon lip things acquired as a result of this thread, and one marker type eyeliner that I'd like to replace with a better one soon. If I wear anything (which isn't everyday) I wear a little eyeliner, blush, powder and lipstick, so eyeshadow will be mostly special occasions. The eyeliner and blush are recent developments as a result of makeup thread, too I don't wear enough often enough to really spend a lot of money, so even a nakeds worth of eyeshadow would be overkill.
Away Oui Go, or other suggestions to dabble in better makeup, or buy a elf blush quad, wet n' wild petal pusher and call it a day?
As the only contribution I feel qualified to make, the Too Faced melted lipsticks seem to have good staying power based on my two year old's face on my only attempt venturing into Sephora!
I did a last minute ulta order last night to use my coupon.
I ordered the UD smoked palette and see how it compares color wise to SB cherry smoke. And I also ordered the It cosmetics naturally pretty 1 set cuz I'm intrigued by the all matte colors with a shimmer powder to transform to shimmer.
Boring purchases were a gray coverage powder for my hair and a SB eye primer.
I read on the Sephora boards that the gift bags are now available to everyone with code SEASONSET, so if there's one you want, I wouldn't wait because I bet they will go fast. Also that code can be used by VIBs and Rouge to get a second bag.
Someone on those boards compiled a list of the products, sizes of the sample, and retail value. Apparently these are Canadian prices so US value is estimated 20% less.

I think Away Oui Go is a nice set, especially for what you're looking for. I bought it just for the blushes and think that alone is great value. I feel "eh" on Tarte shadows. They're nice texture and quality, but I feel like they're a little more muddy than I prefer. Thats not to say they're bad. I think Away Oui Go is a nice set.

If you don't wear eyeshadow but just want a bit for special occasions, I think W&W, elf or NYX, etc is fine, though you may also want to check out Coastal Scents, which is sold on Amazon and is supposed to be fantastic quality for the price. It's not going to cost much more, and you'd get a lot of stuff to play with. They might have blushes too. I know IIOY has tried their shadows with good luck. I think @helenabonhamcarter has too.
Okay, ladies whose husbands are more interested in skincare/fragrance/personal grooming than mine: I have a question. My new BIL's birthday is apparently next month, and I had already planned to get him the men's fragrance sampler as a Christmas present. Any other suggestions about gift sets at Sephora that guys like? I could also get him a book or gift card, but if there are other "must haves" for men I know he'd probably prefer it.

My husband really loves the gel lotion in this set.

Also I like the NYX marker eyeliner.
Coastal Scents has the Revealed 1 palette which is a dupe for both Naked 1 and 2. It's like $20. So DO IT!

I love mine so far, and getting blush was a huge selling point over other eyeshadow pallettes. I originally bought the Tarte blush pallette, but Away Oui Go was only $6 more dollars for one less blush, 12 more shadows, 3 glosses and 1 mascara. It was the best choice for me, but I wear shadow daily.
I don't think I've mentioned yet, but the elf blush palettes in light and dark ($6) are well worth the money!
Pros: -Great bold colors (esp the dark; and the dark would seem to work great with darker skinned ladies! The pale can pull it off with a light hand) -Super extremely pigmented -Nice big mirror -Longevity comparable to my bare minerals blushes
Cons: -Swatched they all look different, but on my face they tend to take on slightly different versions of pinky hues (which is my trouble with almost all blushes because my cheeks are just so pink naturally) -A little powdery -Longevity compared to Tarte or HG? Hands down, those two have the best staying power.
All in all, I'm very pleased. If you want to expand your blush collection or just can't stomach spending $40+ on a palette, these are nice options.
(No selfies lately as my stupid phone is "storage full" all the fucking time even when I purge photos and aps.)

Where did you find the elf palettes?
Their website. And I got them 50% off. Not sure if they are sold in the stores.
I swatched the BM palette at the syore today and really liked it. So that's in my cart now too. Do I need to place an order prior to the sale starting in to get one of the sample bags? Oh, I probably can't do both because only one code allowed, huh? heyjude - I didn't see them at yarget which is I was wondering
Eyes are Vice 3 Truth all over, Angel in crease, DTF in outer corner. Mally Sailor eyeliner. Cheeks are Posietint. Lips are Tarte Matte Lipsurgence Eternal + Mally Liquid Lipstick in Starburst.

You can't stack codes. I suppose it's possible they'd make an exception during this particular sale, but I have never heard of them doing that in my very long life of 9 months as a makeupwhore.
So if you want a gift bag, order today. If you'd rather save the money, hold out for Thursday.
Sephora is exceptionally gifted at getting people to spend money. It's really amazing.

This is the debate I'm having with myself. Dammit. I think I might wait and see what's still available on Thursday, even though that means living dangerously.

I think it really only makes sense if there's something(s) in the bag that's worth the extra money to you.
In my case, I was probably going to buy Black Honey anyway and I've been curious about the Tarte glosses, and I can get free shipping on a $25 purchase. So I paid full price for one product, but got a large enough sample of another product that I'll save money in the end.
There's nothing else in the other bags I want a sample of that badly, so I probably wouldn't have pulled the trigger if it weren't for Black Honey.

This is a good point. There's nothing in any of them that I have to have, just some things that would be fun. I'll be disappointed if the ones I'm interested in are gone when I order, but I'd rather save the money at this point.

Tapatalk has been weird all day so no pic, even though I took one. I don't like the brush that came with the Vice 3 palette. I love the one in my N2 palette so I'm disappointed. I'll figure out how to use it I guess.

Hmm... I had forgotten about Coastal Scents and it being on Amazon.
My admittedly not rational way of thinking about this, though, after mulling a while longer is that I can buy the Tarte set and really get the things I want plus more and feel like I'm testing the prestige brand waters, then not feel the bad about dropping a smaller amount of money on some coastal scents at some point if I want to play more.

In the Makeup Thread this is completely rational thinking.

They haven't done it before. I'm trying to decide if I order enough to get free shipping or not :/

ESF is correct, I did give Coastal Scents a whirl because I read enough positive reviews, I was curious, and at that price point, why not? I actually waited until there was a sale at CS, and between that and a discount code, I bought a ton of shadows for $0.75 a pop. The matte shades are hit or miss in terms of pigmentation, and I tend to use those in combination with other colors rather than try to make them stand on their own. The satin and shimmer shades that I've tried so far are amazing and I would order them again in a heartbeat. I've had no fallout issues so far, and staying power is as good as any of my high end shadows.
I have no clue if there are quality issues if you buy through Amazon rather than directly from CS. Shipping was reasonably priced and very fast when I ordered directly from CS.
