I switched to an HTC One Mini about a year ago, and it's my first Android. I love, love, loved it at first, but over the past six months the texting has gotten crazy slow. With a group text it can easily be five minutes behind. Regular texting has probably a five second lag, which is still annoying as hell. I've tried a couple of different texting apps, but it's still slow. Other than the texting issue I really like my phone, but I don't do anything with it other than tons of texting, GBCN, take photos, play on FB, check email, and a little bit of web browsing. Oh, and a very occasional phone call. Ha. I guess what I care about most is that the thing just work and do it quickly, and I also care about the camera quality.
Should I switch back to Apple? I'm not eligible for an upgrade.
Have you talked to customer support at HTC and/or your mobile provider to see what's going on? I'd definitely do that before shelling out the no-contract price for a new phone.

Duh to calling HTC or duh, I should get one? Because obviously I've known I could call HTC and it's not like this didn't occur to me. I'm just wondering if there are any amazing features or reasons why I "need" the iPhone 6.
I've had three and all three did something annoying. With my last one, the sound never worked right. I had to periodically bend the phone to get the sound to work. The one before that was super glitchy, would freeze up, I always had to restart. I thought Android would make me happy, but nope. I miss my Blackberry!! That thing was so reliable.
You should do that! if you are iPhonebivilent, it's not going to make much difference to you which model you have, amiright? The 5S is really nice.
You can also trade upgrades on family plans on most carriers. So if say, your H is eligible for an upgrade but you are not, but he isn't planning to change his phone, you can "steal" his upgrade and apply it to your line.
This is probably what I should do, unless there is some amazeballs new feature on the 6. Is there? (yeah, I could google)

If camera quality is a big thing with you you need to check out the Nokia Lumia 1020. The camera is amazing and if you are going to shell out $$$ anyways you might as well get a user friendly phone that has a large screen, kick ass camera and all sorts of other fun stuff.

I think I'll check with HTC to see if the sms lag issue can be resolved. I've done some reading and apparently this is a common problem that a lot of people can't fix. And I use my phone the most for texting so it's super annoying.
If I can't fix, I'm going to give my dad a call and ask if I can have his 5 s. Because, free phone.
