Basically, it's dressing like a Disney character in a subtle way. Not like a costume, but in regular clothes in colors and styles that are reminiscent of the character. Some people are really good at it, and put together really pretty outfits that you'd wear whether you were Disneybounding or not.
This is how I dress up for Halloween even though technically teachers aren't supposed to be in costume. Doing it any other day? Probably not, at least not on purpose.

There are definitely a few quite acceptable outfits that I wouldn't have given a second glance to on any other blog. So overall not as bad as I was expecting.
I mean, can't this be something that people enjoy without it having a special name and making it a whole genre of subspecialness? To my mind this is like if instead of you fall scented candle freaks just posting here about your favorites you invented a fake thing called fallromaing and made up pinterest boards and started swapping tips for how if you put a Yankee candle cinnamon no fewer than fifteen feet from a bath and bodyworks apple you've created a vortex of scent.
Yes, of course you can just throw on a pair of ears (or not) and call it a day.
No to Birkenstocks, anywhere.
Dapper Day is when a lot of people who are into Disneybounding come to hang out at the parks. It was this past Friday. There were a lot of really cute outfits from what I can see on FB. It was too damn hot for me to consider going at all, let alone in anything cute.
Most park goers do not disneybound. And most of the ones who do are very subtle about it. It's not costume-y in most cases.

You're a genius!
Goddamnit. I hereby trademark this idea! Fallromaing is MINE. It'll be just $.95 for you to sign up for my app. You can swap stories, share tips for candle storage, and there will be a room simulator where you can approximate the size of your room (along with prevailing HVAC wind patterns) for you to ensure maximum coverage with minimum development of stagnant scent pockets!

I totally got your back on 80% of this statement, Wan. When I've seen it done in the parks, it usually is VERY subtle and I only notice it because I know what it is. Otherwise I'd think they were just in a cute outfit, no big deal.
Part of me is going omg that this a thing, another part is slightly sad that I do not have the money/style/time/wherewithal to do this haha seriously isn't having to get my kids etsy personalized shirts and crap enough?!
