BC, specifically South Vancouver Island. We have 2 major hospitals, traffic is pretty easy (I drive from the sticks to town everyday) and while housing prices in the general Victoria area are insanity, prices in Saanich and the Saanich Penninsula/Sidney are much more reasonable.

Lurker chiming in .... Currently live in MB but also lived in SK. Yup winters are long and colder than the worst cold you can imagine. But it's beautiful on the prairies. And yes SK's big skies are the best. PM me if you end up posted in MB. My FIL is retired RCMP and probably has inside info on lots of small town posts!
I grew up in NS and love it! I highly recommend it. Depending on where that posting is, you might be close enough to the IWK (Children"s Hospital for all the Maritime provinces).
Yes, that is my hope. I've heard really great things about the IWK and the great thing about NS is that no where is that far from Halifax. (I think like 5 hours to Sydney and 4 to Yarmouth)
We live ten minutes from the children's hospital in Calgary and it is amazing, excellent staff, new equipment. I hope you come here. I would pick Vancouver but only if I could afford to live somewhat central.

I just spoke with H and he told me that he meets with his career advisor next Wednesday and we will find out which province by next Friday. Only 9 days to go!

Ontario would be my top choice for family reasons. I like both Toronto and Montreal, but seeing as neither one is an option, BC would be next. Which part would greatly depend on your HHI, because Vancouver is VHCOL.

I'm assuming the posting is near Halifax if you're interested in that one since the Iwk is the only children's hospital.
NS is great. Beautiful land, mild (for Canada) winters, friendly people not a lot to do outside the city if you're city loving people though. But rural ns has tons of outdoor fun. You're never more than 50km from the ocean and unless you're posted to Yarmouth or Cape Breton, you can pretty much do a day trip to anywhere in the province.
Eta: and feel free to pm me for info if you end up posted here. I'm on the app though so tag me in a post so I get the notification. The Iwk is fantastic. I had to take ds1 there for surgery and it was just about as positive an experience as is possible in hospital.
