There is a blood drive today and tomorrow here. It is important for me to participate, and it is easier for me to go today than tomorrow. BUT I teach spin tonight.
Give blood today an call it in a bit during class OR work it in tomorrow and call it in on run club Friday morning.
Can you give plasma at the drive instead of whole blood? That should drain you less, as long as you hydrate.
Otherwise, I'd do what's most convenient, which sounds like today. After donating whole blood I'm phoning it in during workouts for several days to a week anyway, so one spin class or run either way is no biggie.
I'm leaning towards donating today, only because it seems like it would be easier to scale back a bit while teaching class, then it would while trying to run.
I have to remind myself that there is NEVER a good time to give blood (workout schedule wise) and it's ok to choose to do it and to go a little easier.

I agree - it's easier to phone it in on the bike than trying to run (for me at least!)
