I hate blowing my hair straight. I mean, it's pretty straight as it is but it needs to be 'finished' with either a round brush while drying (which I can not do) or slicked over with a flat iron.
I have one similar to this:
It's Babyliss brand. The one above is $140 at Ulta but I have a cheaper model and it still works great.
Mine is really curly/wavy, too. When I blow dry it, I have to use a lot of products to achieve a smooth finish. When I let it air dry and flat iron it the next day, I get a better look. It doesn't take as long as it would take me to blow dry it.
I haven't used the other products you mentioned. I have had my Chi for over 5 years and it's still going strong, though I don't use it on a daily basis.
