Wait. You're supposed to pull out the appliances? Some people do this every six months?
Lol. Last time my mil was here she started cleaning our hood fan, like took it apart and everything. She asked when was the last time I did that was. I just stared at her. I had no idea that was something people did.
lol. I pull apart the cover on the bottom of the fridge often (dog and cat hair get stuck in there.) I try to pull out the stove once a year or so? Sometimes crumbs fall through the cracks between the stove and counter tops.
It's clean enough for company but not as clean as I'd prefer. Our house is small and we have three kids, three dogs and two cats. I clean behind appliances and baseboards, etc. Pretty often in order to keep the dog hair under control. I am terrible at keeping up with clutter though and we have a few spots that are catch alls for random stuff.

My ILs stopped by for an impromptu visit, eye roll, and I was slightly ashamed at the state of my house. Kitchen was a mess fro dinner, toys all over the living room (from last night), toothpaste spittle in the sink from this morning (Jack) etc.
Now that we have been home for 2 hours it is better. Just never stop at my house before 6 pm, kay.
It's ok. Our home is uncluttered, so it's very appealing in that regard, but I don't clean between housekeeper visits. The rug needs to be vacuumed, bathroom counters wiped down, etc. She'll be here this Friday though. I love coming home to a freshly cleaned house.

My house looks like a twister came through and then someone decided "not enough" and tossed a grenade in it. I just haven't been home/am too tired to give any fucks about it. I did, however, do laundry and do a sink full of dishes. So...win?
I feel like surgery could be performed in your home. LOL.
I get a great deal of satisfaction from cleaning blood because everyone is usually "OMG BLOOD! This will never come out!!" and I'm like, "Step back bitch and watch my Kung fu."

I have never and will never clean the tops of my cabinets or behind the fridge, nor will I wipe walls that didn't get marked/marred by a specific incident. That's crazy talk.
Clean-ish. Not too much clutter, the toddler destroys anything we leave laying around, so it's all put away. The kitchen is mostly clean, just a few of DS's dishes that need to be washed. MIL was here last week, so she deep cleaned a bit. I tend to go all out on a particular room, straighten, scrubs, whatever, and then get tired and decide I am done for the day. So some rooms are really clean, and some rooms really aren't.

Clean enough. Kitchen counters and sinks empty and wiped down, a few dog on the carpet , the afghan on the couch isn't folded. One messy spot (papers, bills, etc) in the foyer. Not great, not bad.
I used to follow FlyLady, and that system really worked (ignore the overly cutesy stuff, of which there is a lot). We eventually cut out cable TV in order to get a cleaning lady twice a month.

My house is NOT clean right now. Our housecleaner did not clean last weekend. I need to vacuum and dust so bad. Its tidy but in dire need of actual cleaning. I could vacuum now and do the bathrooms, but she'll be here on Friday to clean. So, I'm waiting it out.
It's clean. I can't get comfortable if it's not. In my brain it has to be "company ready" at all times which is lame. However, we had shutters installed several months ago and I didn't realize how often those need to be dusted. They were bad by the time I dusted them last week. I clean in sections (bathrooms one day, mop another etc.) but I sweep and Roomba daily and my kitchen is always clean before I go to bed.
