Except mine started off pretty bad. I got hit on the way into work, she drove off. Not much damage, she hit the tire and there's a small dent in the wheel well. It's a company lease car, so it's really NBD, but I was pretty f*ing pissed she pulled away. Made me spill my coffee on myself too. Sigh.
Some friends of mine had their anatomy scan on Monday (it's a boy!) and they went on vacation on Tuesday. Got a call on Wednesday that the baby was at high risk for Down's due to a high NT measurement... so they cancelled the rest of the trip and came home to meet with the high risk doc on thursday. High risk doc was like "why were they measuring the NT at 19 weeks?" and turns out, someone filed the wrong paperwork, as the NT measurement means almost nothing at 19 weeks. They did a 4D US at the office on Thursday and the baby is just fine, no at all at high risk for Down's syndrome. So they got an extra scan out of it, but lost 2 days of their vacation. I'd have been PISSED!
Anyone have any fun weekend plans? We have our annual cider mill tour this weekend, vising 3 cider mills tomorrow with some friends and eating a lot of donuts. Can't wait!
Oh gosh that poor couple! I'd be pissed that someone did that and gave them worry over nothing.
I have my friends shower Sunday. It's my last shower and I'm sad but also glad because then I can start working on buying the rest of the stuff off my registry soon. I'm hoping to clean tonight and have H put the convertible car seats and the high chairs in the basement since we don't need them now.
My dog has a grooming appt tomorrow morning at 8 am! What the hell was I thinking when I made it? I'm going to drop him off and then go back home to nap.

I woke up early to go swimming this morning, and while it was awesome to get in the water, I am so slow right now. It's a little sad to think about how much faster I used to be.
I don't have many plans this weekend except a few errands and knitting. I hope to park myself on the couch and binge netflix while I knit. I'm so excited!

I woke up at 2 and never got back to sleep so I'm ready for today to be done, I'm tired
One of my best friends turns 40 tomorrow but doesn't want to celebrate. This makes me sad but we will respect her wishes. I wish she wanted to go to dinner or something.
No big weekend plans but I leave for vacation in 10 days with my family to celebrate my dad's retirement (were all taking to him to his Alma mater vs my mom's Alma mater football game next weekend, he is so excited which makes me excited!). Plus I love some good SEC football!
Oh no, glad you're ok @sessalee! And your poor friends, that's terrible that the dr office messed up like that. I'm glad everything is ok for them, but I'd be annoyed to miss a few days of vacation for nothing.
I'm so glad it's Friday, it's been a long week. We are going furniture shopping tonight, so hopefully the nursery looks more like a room by the end of the weekend. We're going to a college football game tomorrow night, and will probably just go to church and do stuff around the house on Sunday.

That is awful that poor couple had to go so through much stress and worrying for no reason.
Today's my 2nd Friday working from home as part of my pre-maternity leave plan. I'll be working from home 1-2 days a week for September and then 4 days a week starting the 2nd week in October until I go out on leave. It's so nice not to have the long commute and to work in comfy clothes.
I'm planning on heading to a MoM sale tomorrow morning so will hopefully find some good stuff, then no other big plans for the weekend besides hanging stuff up in the nursery with DH on Sunday. So happy to have a quiet weekend after so much running around last weekend.

We are going to a wedding tomorrow and I have no idea what to wear! I'm either going with a maxi skirt and tank (+sweater because we will be outside at least part of the time), or a new dress. I don't know, lol. Anywhere have some good maxi skirts on sale right now?

I just saw some Calvin Klein ones on sale at Macys.

I would be so upset if I came home from vacation and heard that it was for nothing!
My great aunt and uncle are in town (and my brother is coming, too), but all I want to do is sleep. I'm happy to see them, but I don't want to play host. I'm just whining; I'm sure it will be fun.

Glad you're all right sessalee. That really sucks about your friends to have all of that worry over nothing.
I'm so happy the weekend is almost here! It's been a crazy hectic week at work. I was given a huge, amazing new project that is in early concept design right now. It's a career defining project. The only problem is if we get the full contract it will be ramping up right before I leave on ML for 12 weeks. The project would take around 3 years from start to finish though so 3 months is just a blip in that timeline. At least that's what I'm telling myself.
We're starting to make more progress on the nursery. DH is working hard on revamping the antique dresser though he has a couple more weeks of work to do. I finally picked out all of the fabric for the quilt, crib sheet, and curtains so that is on it's way here. I ordered the floor lamp, mirror, and end table but we still have a lot more to buy.
@sessalee - now i want cider doughnuts and cider, Utah just doesn't do cider right.
We are continuing to rip out and start to re-build our kitchen. I think the big plan for the weekend is putting down the new subfloor and finishing the electrical. Good thing my Dad and Uncle are here to help and direct us.

I have not done much today that is productive and I am exhausted. I got a good night's sleep, so I'm going to blame my tiredness on the baby growing. He's been doing what feels like full body stretches- I can feel movement down in my crotch and at the top/sides of my belly simultaneously. It kind of hurts.
H is taking C on "man errands" tomorrow morning until lunch/naptime so I can sleep in! I can't wait. I'm hoping I drag my butt out of bed early enough to do some work on the nursery curtains. My nesting instinct is kicking in hardcore lately.
Sunday we are doing a charity 5K walk and having brunch with H's family.
@sessalee I am angry for your friends! But I'm very glad it all worked out in the end.
Don't have too much on tap for this weekend. Looking forward to getting a mani/pedi after work, and then going home and doing nothing. Tomorrow, will be typical Saturday stuff which is chores and errands. Sunday, J & I are supposed to go for a 5mi walk but I think brunch sounds like a better idea.
