runblondie26 -- look at those 10K numbers you're talking about!! Crazy-fast. I hope you have a great race. It's fun to go back to a few of the same ones year after year.

me! my first race in awhile. a 5k that i will definitely not PR but it will be fun. i just started running regularly about 3-4 weeks ago after almost 2 years of inconsistency (3 kids, major house renovation, and life otherwise interfering with my best plans)! anyway, i will report back...i'm guessing i'll be somewhere in the high-8's/low 9's and anything better will just be a bonus
I have a sprint tri tomorrow. I know I can cover the distance, but I have not trained properly for the swim or bike. I'm going to try to have fun and then improve next year. This my fourth tri - but my first with an open water swim. Eek!!
Good luck and have fun! Can't wait to hear how it goes
I ran a 5k glow run tonight with a team from my CrossFit box. It was fun, but I definitely wasn't racing! It was crazy crowded and I had DD in the BOB. Finished in 30:56 (3 miles, not 3.1!) with splits of 11:43, 9:43, 9:17. Obviously got faster as the crowd spread out. I had a good time and it was fun hanging out with my coaches and representing my box.
