I decided to do a 7 mile trail race/run tomorrow with my sister and her boyfriend. And a 2.5 mile fun run after. It is the last of a series of races that they have been running. And one of the race directors passed away unexpectedly (heart attack on a mountain) a couple weeks ago, hence the 2.5 mile fun run after.
I have a sprint tri tomorrow. I know I can cover the distance, but I have not trained properly for the swim or bike. I'm going to try to have fun and then improve next year. This my fourth tri - but my first with an open water swim. Eek!!

Good luck everyone!
Metric Marathon on Sunday! I am half excited/half nervous. I've never run that distance before, but since my goal race is in 2 weeks, I'm not planning to race it. And it's my local race, so I'll know lots of people which should make it a fun time. But I'm still a little butterfly-y every time I think about it.

I have a 4-miler on Sunday, but I'm being wishy-washy. My mom and sister are also doing it and will be walking, but a lot of my friends from my pace group are running it. I was wanting to run with them and then meet my family at the end, and that's still my tentative plan, but with my foot being so sore after last Saturday's 10-miler I'm feeling a bit uncertain even though it feels pretty good now.

Whoo! I hope you love it! Have you been practicing in open water at all?

I have! Our local master's group does an OWS on Sundays, and I've meet up with them a few times (I think, 4 times). I've loved it so far! I've done up to a mile in the open water, and tomorrow is 750m, so I'm pretty confident that I can do it. I may not be speedy, but I'll do it.

Pro tip - start to the far outside or inside back of the pack. The speedsters will clump at the inside front and you do NOT want to get caught up in that nonsense.

Thank you! I will definitely try to do that. It's a small race with a wave start, so I am hoping it won't be too crowded.

I'm doing the Ohio State 4-miler on Sunday. It's supposed to be rainy and crappy weather. Despite the weather, I'm determined to get my picture with Brutus the Buckeye though! Whoop!

Meeee!
I have a 10k tomorrow. This is my 6th time running this race. I don't foresee a course PR (42:54), but I hope to beat the time I ran when DD was 7 months old (47:41).
I have a 5k tonight. And tomorrow is my marathon! I still have a bit of a cold, but I'm going out giving it my best
You're running a 5k tonight AND a marathon tomorrow morning? That is hard core.
Yes! lol I was going to do a couple miles anyways today, and my brother wanted to do the 5k tonight so I decided to do it with him. I don't plan on going all out tonight.
