This happened 30 seconds after I sat in the rocker with him. My poor snotty buddy hasn't fallen asleep like that on me since he was still nursing...I think he was maybe 9-10 mos old the last time?
DS has HFM and slept all of 2 hours from 5 am to 10 pm yesterday. This virus is the suck. Is there anything I can do besides tyelnol/motrin? I am so sad about his beautiful baby skin and hoping it doesn't leave scars like chicken pox. Too scared to google if that's even a possibility.
Whew. Put AJ in his crib and he opened his eyes long enough to roll over and go back to sleep. He spent the morning with my parents while I was at work so he could be exhausted from that...or it could be his cold, or it could be teeth (when he was melting down as I changed his diaper, he was chomping on fingers on both sides of his mouth). Or all three. Either way I hope he stays asleep for a while.
I always forget how much easier shopping is without DD. It's nice when the adults outnumber the baby 5:1 meaning I can sneak away and the ratio will only go down to 4:1.
After I change her diaper, change her clothes, and prepare her meals of course.
I recently found out that two other women in our neighborhood are pregnant. One with twins! Along with the baby born a week before M, there will be five babies in our neighborhood in March!
OMG. In honor of @this wedding-gate, I have to share this. My H just told me that he's planning to wear jeans to the wedding we're attending tonight, which horrified me because I would be so annoyed if someone wore jeans to our wedding. He then explained that the entire wedding party is wearing camouflage. Heaven help me...I have no clue what I'm getting myself into tonight.

We are on hour 18 of our 22 hour adventure to get home from South Korea. M was a terror on this last flight. I don't think I've ever been so excited to come home from a vacation. Soooo exhausted.

The heat wave we've been having finally broke and we have a nice cool morning. DH and DS went for a walk after they ate, so I had a glorious sleep in. Followed by an empty house while I ate donuts and drank coffee. DH has decided to get me a cool wooden front door as my 5th anniversary gift. The one we have our eye on has what we call a "wizard of oz" hole for looking out. That should be fun for solicitors.
It has been a great Saturday so far. DH booked a surprise b-day massage for me and then took DD to his parents' house for the afternoon, with instructions for me to not come back until dinner. I have been out to lunch, shopping, and am now sitting in the sun at Starbucks with a good book.

Can I give your H my H's #? He needs to text my DH about what birthday plans to make for me.

M & I spent 3 hours at the mall this morning toodling around & had a great time. No real shopping- we hit the play area, rode the escalators, had a morning snack at the coffee shop & went to the book store.

My chart was super crazy last month and I was sick for part of it. So I don't really know what to think of it. I've always had pretty long and not consistent cycles, so I'm not to worried about it.
But I think I'm 14dpo and just took a test and it was negative. So I guess I'll start my period tomorrow? If I don't in the next few days then I guess I'm calling my PB since it's been 42 days now since my last period started.
I'm nesting like a madwoman. I am going insane because my H is dragging his feet about installing the curtain rod in the nursery. OMG dude. I just need you to go along with my crazy now. I NEED CURTAINS NOW.

This is so much fun. Both my old neighborhood and my current neighborhood have 3 baby girls born within a month of DD2. It's super cute in my current neighborhood to see all three of them together, walking up and down the sidewalks with that drunken young-toddler swagger.
I have been oil cleansing my face with coconut oil and olive oil, and moisturizing with jojoba oil, for several days now. My skin looks amazing, but I fear with every passing day I am becoming more of a hippie.

I wasn't paying attention and accidentally clicked on the multiples board. It took two threads before I figured out my mistake, lol.
DD went down super quickly this evening. This is good because I am doing our cooking for the week. So far I have bbq pulled pork and cuban shredded pork and veggies in the slow cookers, root veggies roasting to become one big mash, and I have caramelized onions for what is about to become a caramelized onion and broccoli crustless quiche for breakfast this week. I also have to make the 'meat' (ground beef, black beans, green chills, taco mix) for our taco salads for lunch this week. Only those two things left and I can call it a day.

Guys, tell me some things you do only just to make your SO happy…
DH has a vegetable garden. He EFFING loves it so much. So, generally, he doesn't give a shit about flowers, just his vegetable garden. But now he wants to make sure our flowers are bee attractors. For his birthday I got him a GC to a nursery and we went today and we got a bunch of bulbs. We are going to plant them tomorrow after church.
People, being on my hands and knees in the dirt is NOT fun. But it will make him so happy.
Now tell me all the things you do, like watch football or pretend to like WOW so that I can feel better about my situation.

No worries, I think you've been a dirty hippie for awhile ((carmensandiego))
I'm avoiding caffeine and trying to keep phone time to a minimum today. Between those two and just ignoring work, I feel way less stressed but a little more tired.
V hit 13 months on Thursday, and I've been trying to count his words. So far he will sign or say more, shoes, dog, duck, water, ball, light, bye bye, and pick me up/hug me. We can't really tell if he says mama or dada though. With prompting he'll also say or sign map, please, help, and car.
Still working on "twy infiniti" and I guess soon "bike lock"

I'm sooooo tired of schlepping dirt. We got a dump truck load of dirt delivered to fix the grading in our front and side yards, as well as some dips left by removed trees MONTHS ago, and we're still trying to distribute it. We could hire someone to do it, but after $$ estimates, we decided to DIY. Did a ton more today and at 7:48 PM I'm beyond ready for bed.
oh my god. One of the moms in my moms group was just diagnosed with cancer. She has two boys under 2, one is only 4 mo old. She is only 29 She tandem BFs them and will have to stop due to chemo. I just cannot imagine.

Shameless brag ahead: I got up with DD but then DH got out of bed too, so I laid down again. I slept until 11:30! Holy shit do I feel amazing! This means I'm gonna be on my own tomorrow morning , but hell yeah for sleep! Although DH wasn't watching and DD took a header off a sitting wall into the flagstone in the yard and has one hell of a bruised face.
I was happy getting so many FB friends here, but I'm missing so many because I don't have Instagram. I guess I need an account now, huh?

@carsarecute whenever DS wakes up before 6, I put him back to bed after I feed him. He totally means to be up for the day but I just pretend it's still middle of the night (because it IS!!) And he goes back to sleep until around 7. I felt like a freaking genius the first time I did it, Lol. That said, I know that I've won the sleep lottery with DS so it may not work for you, but could be worth a try?
