I have a pair of slippers (Dearfoam-ish) that are lined with non-skid bottom. I'm not supposed to go shoeless or sockless in the house or out because of the 'beetus so I look more for warmth and protection than support though.
ETA: and now after this post I'm going to look for some of those orthoheels. I'm old enough that I'll probably think they're cute too.
I have sort of the same problem from just being up and down so much with the baby (and wearing flip flops too often for errands). I'm considering getting Fit Flops. The toning claims are ridic, but they have good arch support and are easy to slip on/off.
The gel mats really are awesome though. Dinner prep is the one time my feet don't hurt. I wish I could make house shoes out of those mats.
Have you worn them? They look so clunky!
I had a pair a long time ago! They didn't feel exceptionally heavy.
I don't wear shoes in the house, but I do have a pair that comes to mind based on your needs. I have a pair of Inov-8s that are slip ons. They are easy to get on and off, are washable, and supportive. Technically they're athletic shoes, but they seem like a good fit for house shoes.

I have a pair of slip on slippers that are similar to Uggs, but only cover my foot, they stop below my ankle. They are ugly as hell but so soft and comfy inside. They have a real sole so I can wear them outside to take the garbage can out or check the mail.
I was having a hard time getting pregnant and someone posted on TTTC about always keeping their feet warm and then getting pregnant...so I started always wearing slippers when at home...and I got pregnant

Oo. Ah. Some of these house shoes just no.
Get thee to a Target, Marshall's or Kohls. I always find my house slippers at those stores. I hate being barefoot and don't like wearing socks except in the winter so I'm constantly wearing house slippers.
